Ria, Kaz and Jo, the eye contact thing is well known, it has been taught to service people for years. The same goes for having an open and relaxed face. You do not need to grin or smile like a village idiot, just present the same face you would to friends. Another thing is body language in general. Passing front to front shows confidence whereas leading with a shoulder and a half turned back is defensive.
It is all really interesting psychological stuff and many of us do it instinctively without knowing.
I went to self defence lessons many years ago, glad to say the lessons stuck My instincts weren't too bad though, while working in London I was attacked in the subway to Baker St tube, a good portion of the guy's face was left under my fingernails
Just got an email timed at 16:58 (almost five o'clock) to tell me that an order originally due on Tuesday will be with me today. When today? It's Sunday FCOL!
It is surely well past time when deliveries are being made.
