Not a good end to Rias visit

Postby JanB » 20 May 2017, 20:32

And I apologise for typoes, until I get used to this new fanged machi

We were on our way to Fuzeta on the motorway and we realised that the car engine was getting noisy and also rather hot. So we stopped. The radiator had sprung several holes and water was pumping out

Not knowing any different, we rang the motorway assistance. When he arrived, he told us we should always ring out breakdown insurance. It rang, rang and rang / for almost an hour  He tried, I tried, Riatried. Musica :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute:

I rang our insurance man, twice, getting rather heated andeventually, the insurance company rang me. Within half an hour ish, we had a toe truck and a taxi, to get Ria to the airport and we managed to get the car back to oOurique, on the tow truck.

Antonia picked us up, we had a beer in the bar, then a couple more at home.##We-0ve also had gert lush pork sausages, chips, baked beans and eggs

And the best thing

Trust me, I was rather pleased when that taxi turned up - driver didn't speak any English but perfect German so we had a good natter on the way to the airport. Got there perfectly on time so all ended well my end.

Just very glad Jan that the tow got you all the way to Ourique and you didn't end up in Faro for a night or two

thank you again so much for having me - I loved every minute xx

Sorry no - we were too busy talking to take all that many photos. But in all honesty it's also the type of place that I think photos wouldn't do justice to. It's something you need actually see and experience - the open and vast spaces, lovely blue skies, the yellow flowers (the pink ones were just starting to come out). I call them mind / memory photos ;)

It was beautiful and it reminded me a lot of Turkey.
