Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Glad you had a lovely time in Nerja Ally.

Hope you feel better soon Lissie.

Ton I regularly poach fresh salmon, yummy, the tinned stuff not so much.

Good luck to your mum Jo. Very intriguing about the neighbours......

We had a lovely walk down to the harbour yesterday afternoon. Today we're off to the cinema to see The Mummy, it's had mixed reviews, but ............Tom Cruise, nuff said

Hope you all have a good day :D

Jo - sorry forgot to add good luck to your mom on my original post.

My mom had her one hip replaced about 3 years ago now and it made such a huge positive difference to her; the 2nd one will be due at some point as well; I just wish she'd do it sooner rather than later because she's not getting any younger (80 next year) and recovery will be slower. But apparently there is concern that the replacements only last 10 years? So really good to read that your mom had her first one 17 years ago!

Crossing fingers your mom that all goes well x

Afternoon :)
What a gorgeous day, and at last that wind has died down.

I've finally been to the garden centre and bought some plants for the pots. Will need more but will get these planted first and see what else they need.

Hope it goes well for your mum Jo x

Very true, Osc, absolutely no comparison between tinned salmon and proper salmon steaks!! :D

Jo, we had similar in Sutton Coldfield, the police arrived mid-morning and threatened the Nigerians in the rented house opposite with a door-rammer unless they were let in. :o They then handcuffed a couple and led them off, flowing robes and all. Us neighbours had been running a sweepstake; cannabis growing (the curtains were always drawn) 5/1, prostitution (very late night taxis) 8/1  We never did get to the bottom of it, but when they opened up the garage and started taking out boxes, it looked like it must have been receiving stolen goods. Those erstwhile neighbours did come back, but I don't think the absentee landlord was none too happy, and the tenancy changed soon after.

Lissie, your incident made the national news, all very worrying; not to diminish it, but at least it appears to have been "domestic".

Warm and sunny here - hope everyone enjoys their day!
