Morning Saundra, morning everyone. :D :D

The heat doesn't bother me Saundra...I slept till 9am!   8-)

Another day of lazing by the pool beckons. I read half my book yesterday and plan to read the other half today.

We'll walk into town early evening for a couple of beers and eat at the wee Mexican place. A mojito might be on the cards too.

I'll ring dad later to wish him a happy Father's Day..they're on holiday in the Lake District. :D I had to do a Miss Marple last week and scour the internet for the name of the place they're staying at and get the post code. When I rang mum on Friday she told me his card had been delivered...I was so pleased. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all! I bet the seaside is lovely today Saundra.

We had a bit of excitement last night. A woman who lives down the road had her car and house windows smashed about midnight, there was a hell of a row apparently. A silver Corsa drove off at high speed afterwards. The police were there last night and this morning, when they had someone cutting up lengths of chipboard to cover the windows - at 6 am.

Most of this is second hand from MrsC, because apart from the chipboard cutting I slept through it all.

Sherlock MrsC will be on the case so we'll know more later.

have a lovely day everybody.

Morning everyone

Hot already 8-)

A rather disturbed nights sleep - woken rather rudely at 2.30 by Grumpy swearing at a mozzie - as if that would do any good     Couldn't find t he spray, so shut the door and decamped to the other bedroom. Again woken rather rudely by Grumpy telling said mozz to go away. This was at 4.00   A bit more awake this time, I find the spray, do both bedrooms and lie on the sofa trying to get some shut-eye. He puts on the tv and then talks all the way through the news broadcasts and then the cat decided it wanted to com in and be fed   and then lie on my sofa

At 4.30, I gave up and went to bed. Only to be kept awake by some-one snoring :cute: :cute: :cute: Managed to doze for a while, but gave up at 8.30.

Will be doing not a lot today. Salad for dinner again, not a hope of me cooking in the heat.

Looking forward to hearing what happened Crommers :)

Have a good day everyone whatever you're doing.

Good morning all, another hot one.

Billy's had a very early walk, he's now flat out on the cold tiles. Joe's just gone to bed after a night of watching films, John's about to go out on his bike and Tom's on his way to the station, he decided late last night that he was going to have to a day out so he's off to London.

Saundra, I'm always moaning about rubbish too. There're various places in the woods where kids hang out, drinking and using those tiny helium canisters. Everything gets left and they leave a right mess, usually smashing bottles in the process. Funnily enough there's actually a trail of cans, bottles and canisters on the path leading to the dodgy estate. There's a lovely pool over there too and when I walked Billy by there yesterday the area was strewn with rubbish and there were loads of cans and bottles in the water too. It makes me so mad. Been by this morning though and someone has cleared a lot of it up, what they could get to anyway as some of the cans are floating quite far out on the pool. You do see people cleaning up after them some days. I know that there's a retired man off our estate who walks around the common (and the estate too for that matter) with a black bag and a litter grabber.
Last Summer there were all ages hanging around after tea, from women about my age to small children and there was a smell of weed in the air. It wasn't nice, whenever you walked past they'd all stand and watch as if they were waiting for you to say something :?

Anyway, that's my moan

Have a good day all!

Morning all!

A disturbed night here too, the heat wasn't bothering us, but the dogs were restless, then Pepper started panting in the heat so Mick bought her water bowl up. She settled eventually, and we finally got back to sleep and only woke about 20 minutes ago!

People leaving litter is one of my pet peeves too! Jo I often pick up the smell of weed in town, I don't think the police bother at all with it :?

Have a lovely day everyone:) xx

Morning all :D

Lovely here 8-)

We had a lovely day yesterday, the Dickens Parade was brilliant, goodness knows how they managed to wear those costumes in the heat. After the parade we had lunch on the terrace at The Pavillion (where I have coffee with the ladies) yummy. Opened a bottle when we got back here and sat in the garden until after 7.

We've had a lovely lie in, just about to sit out in the garden, don't plan to move far today.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)
Scorchio!! - even hotter than yesterday, I wore my hat even just to peg the washing out 8-)

We do have to pop out for a bit of shopping, but other than that will be staying put, away from the traffic and the crowds.
The Icc cricket final is on, so we're happy :)
I'd be rather happier with a pool to jump into, but hey-ho :D
