Good afternoon all.

Mixed weather here rain, wind and sunshine ad lib.

We won't be going anywhere today. I've been busy this morning sorting out my stock of DIY items,
and getting rid of those I probably won't ever need.

Lissie - I wish we lived nearer - I love damsons. When I was a tot we had damson trees in our garden,
and my mother made lots of damson jam, and father brewed lots of damson wine. Now damson trees
must be very almost extinct, as the fruit are now so hard to come by.

Good afternoon all, it's showery and humid here today. We dodged showers and walked Billy first thing. John didn't go out cycling this morning, he's not in the right mood for it today. His mother has been in hospital, nothing serious we don't think but then his mother and sister are sort of telling him the same thing but his drama llama of a sister is embellishing it. I'll have to post about it on the health board but I'm on 2% battery and not near a plug socket at the moment

Afternoon all, it started out rather dreary and drizzly but has cleared up nicely now. We have both been busy today, I did lots of ironing, changed the bedding in Michael's room and other bits and pieces. Mr Osc made a batch of apple jelly and organised tonight's dinner. He also folded up Kellie's travel cot as she doesn't have a nap any more, and it is easily put up if she comes for a sleepover, so now Michael's room (aka the spare room) looks nice and tidy. Now going to take it easy for the rest of the day and watch the last few hours of the golf, although the winner is so far ahead, it is unlikely he will be caught.

Hi all! Sorry to have been AWOL since my week-and-a-half last week. I went to work on Friday.....yeah, I know ....I felt absolutely fine and there was no clinic so I was basically just shop sitting and doing admin. Plus it was 'overtime' so I now have another day added to my holiday allowance Win-win! Both bosses have said they were very worried about me, which was nice

Tom had booked us an overnighter at a pawsh hotel near Darlington, spa/pool, nice meal, for my birthday. Course after last week we weren't sure we'd get there, but obviously we did! It THREW it down en route, wipers going at fastest speed....but then while we were in the pool, the sun came out and stayed out all day - the hotel has lovely grounds, and the food was amazing! I put some pics on Facebook for those on there. I never ever eat a full breakfast but this morning I had muesli with fruit AND THEN poached eggs, bacon and mushrooms with toast - yummy!! Tom actually said it's the first time he's ever known me eat a full breakfast in the 15 years we have been together! I always just have cereal and toast.

Home by 11, so I have been doing housework and washing since then. Tom's gone to Hebburn as Lewis is playing in a football tournament which started at 9.30 this morning but his team must be through the rounds as he left here at 1pm and still hasn't returned.

Well it absolutely poured down this afternoon! Luckily I just got my washing in on time, and then got it ironed

When we walk on the "lawn" to water the flowers and veggies, it crunches

Having looked at the forecast, since I posted earlier, we may get 3 days of rain in October.

There are huge shortages of water in the towns, all I can say is, thank heavens we have a bore hole. Though what would happen if that dried up, I have no idea. Maybe get a drill thingy in and drill deeper.

Some-one locally has gone down 200 metres, we're only on 90

But heldar assures us we'll be okay, as does Dimas and as they're very local, they hopefully should know.
