Morning all, I was going to bed last night when I realised I hadn't posted yesterday  it's nice here, sun and cloud, yesterday turned out lovely and it looks like today will be the same. Today we are going to the Dublin Horse Show - I have not been for many years, although Mr Osc used to take Miss Osc when she was young. Today is Ladies Day so we will see lots of glam apart from the horses  We'll eat out somewhere on the way home.

We've been having lots of fun telling him he'll morph into a typical bored messy teen overnight. He just laughs and says too late, it's already happened

Back from the Doctors where Don has just been tested at the Hearing Clinic.
He is severely deaf in one ear and moderately deaf in the other :o
He has accepted the fact that he will have a hearing aid in each ear and
they will be ready in about 5 weeks.
Perhaps he will listen to me now as i have been telling him for years that
he was going deaf.
What with his Cataracts and now his ears he will be a new man but a bit late
for that now.

Mission accomplished :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

We went to the Junta de Freguesia, which is basically the local parish office, as opposed to the Camera, which is the town hall. She filled in the form for us, we had to get 2 people we know who are registered to vote, get them to sign the forms, took them back and we had our piece of paper that we are now residents of Ourique 8-) 8-)

Sometimes, just sometimes, the red tape is easy

Eye test appointment made, long chat with Fatima and Sonia, manic in the supermarket, chatted to loads of people and have cooked chicken for dinner.

Now going to jump in the pool :D :D :D

Oh blimey, I was sure I'd already posted today!

It's been fantastic weather here all day :D I got two loads of washing out on the line, and then walked into town. Picked up some bread and a couple of other bits, then popped in to see D for a cuppa on my way home.

When I got home, B and I took the dogs for a walk and ended up saving an injured bird! I think it was a wood pigeon. We had just walked past the Pets 4 Vets surgery, when the dogs spotted something - it was a pigeon, sat so stock still, on the grass under some blackberry bushes, that I thought it was dead!

B got down on the ground next to it though and could see it was breathing, so I stayed with it (and the dogs) while B went back to the vets' surgery. They gave her a towel to wrap it in, and the vet nurse took it from her, and was going to get one of the vets to take a look, as seemingly it had an injured wing :( Poor thing, but hopefully it will be ok. B is going to ring in the morning, to check. So that was our excitement for the day

No Pilates tonight, as the teacher standing in as maternity cover for Steph is in Greece for the month! Hope I don't get too stiff while she's away, I think I'd better practice by myself  I have been to two zumba classes this week though :) Steph had her baby last week, a little girl called Scarlet Eliza :D :D
