Postby Ally » 31 Aug 2017, 20:17

Great excitement! I shall be starting this tomorrow......Toast: The Story of a Boy's Hunger by Nigel Slater.

Don bought this for me on his last trip to the UK and gave me the book this morning. :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

I love the fact I just ever so casually mention a book I would like and Don buys it for me.

I've mentioned, on my return from Norway, lots of hints that I'd like this: Lonely Planet Norway. :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Ally, I love travel books! I'm working my way through a USA one at the moment, and picking up ideas as I go :Hi:
I need an updated New York one as mine is probably 20 years old now

:D :D I have an app called Showbox on my tablet Jo - you can get the series for free!! It's got 3 eps on there already but I haven't started to watch it yet - it's a while since I read it so I have half forgotten the storyline but I do know I couldn't put it down\!!

I'll have a look for that Gal! Joe will possibly have it on his Firestick.

I'm dragging him and John to see It when it's released btw :D I noticed that Pennywise had a mention in Mr Mercedes. I love how Stephen King does that :D

Jo can you tell me if there is a character called Ida (?) in the book, Bill's neighbour? I don't remember her from the book....

I downloaded the Showbox app to my tablet a while ago, you can get all sorts of films and TV series on there...all free :) I have the whole lot of Desperate Housewives to watch and House of Cards as well as this :)
