Ho beck my friend in oz well her son his wife 2 grown up daughters plus 8yr old grandaughter are at Disneyland in Florida they booked this holiday last year and are now in lock down in there rooms such a nightmare then it's on to new York and las Vegas and back to oz such a worry for friend in oz

It's belting it down here and cold so in the kitchen I go to the nearly empty freezer that I keep putting stuff in
This week I'm determined to empty it and defrost it so I got the slow cooker out tipped in last of the stewing meat same of frozen stewpack veg some chopped onion 2stock pot cubs tomorrow I shall add diced potatoe so that's Mon/tuesday tea not much left in there then ho the joy of restocking a complete freezer is neigh

Do I make a nice cooling salad on this hot day? No.

Do I make a nice cold gazpacho soup on this hot day? No.

What I have made is spicy chilli bean soup - heavy on the spice!

BBC good food guide recipe and flippin delicious it is too.

Un blasted believable

I was getting no response to my e-mails to our insurance guy and he wouldn't answer my phone calls about my glasses, so i sent an e-mail to head office.

Apparently, I should have just gone ahead and ordered new glasses, sending them the receipt and they would then work out how much to pay me

I'm steaming

Why on earth couldn't he have told me that weeks ago?

I put Joe on 'afternoon waiting for Amazon' duty seeing as it's something he'd ordered. He was doing the 12-5 shift while I got jobs done. It arrived at 12.04. Jammy devil.
