Ria we some stuff the vet gave us for Bonfire Night, and Rescue Remedy too, but as long as he doesn't actually see the cases he'll be fine. With them being in H's room on the top floor it should be ok :)

Jo, Bill is a rescue too, isn't he? I think they do get more anxious. Pepper couldn't care less! Poor Billy (((x)))

Morning Crommers, hope your lawn dries out enough soon :) Morning Jan, nurse that cough, it's hanging around a bit! (((x))(

He is, although he was only 8 weeks old when we got him. His parents were very badly treated though and we were told that their anxiety would possibly have been passed onto the pups. He is a worrier :?

Do I remember that you found that Rescue Remedy helped last Autumn? Bill had always been okay with fireworks up until last year but for some reason he suddenly found them very stressful and I was only thinking yesterday that theyll be on sale soon and I need to get something to help him through it this year.

Morning all :D

We had lots of rain overnight. Nearly 3000 houses here lost power yesterday evening, an underground power cable blew up and lots of people say they heard the bang, obviously not us as we didn't hear a thing. It's nice and sunny now so lets hope it lasts.

Off out to do the weekly shop later, the excitement is almost overwhelming

Have a good day :D

Jo and Kaz, probably a bit late now, but these are meant to be really good:

maybe look at buying one and see if that helps for next year?

I'll have a look into that Ria but it's only fireworks that bother him. We hear a lot of gunshot on the farms while out walking and that doesn't phase him one bit. If we walk to the post box we have to walk along the A34 for a few minutes and he doesn't care how many lorries, buses or ambulances with sirens blaring go past.

JoM wrote:Cromwell, I left our lawns all day on Tuesday and they still weren't properly dry when I cut them at 5pm. The ground is so soggy. I usually enjoy walks at this time of year as the paths are still dry from Summer but this year we didn't even have that luxury during Summer very often. It's so muddy everywhere and it's not helped by off road motor bikes and horse riders churning the paths up :?

Exactly the same round here Jo. Last spring was dry but we've had a very wet summer. Our daughter's dog Dobby always comes back in wet through after a walk.
Ria, I'm ashamed of how long our lawn is now!

Evening all, usual Thursday. It was quite a nice autumn day with lots of sun this morning. We walked to buy fish, although Kellie was in the buggy for some of it, but she did plenty of running, skipping, walking on walls, and playing in the playground on the way back. It was a bit of a rushed afternoon for Michael, as he doesn't finish school until 2.30, he had golf at 5pm then football at 6pm, thankfully the golf is now finished. I have a mountain of ironing building as I catch up on the holiday washing  it will have to wait until Saturday and Sunday.
