Good luck with the blood test Jan and I hope the woodbine cough clears up soon.

It's raining steadily here and very grey. Di's holiday sounds wonderful. I think September / October is a good time to take a holiday. Not totally scorchio and a tonic against our grey skies and drizzle.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, a lovely sunny morning here although with an autumnal chill. I've been to the post office and also have done some shopping. Off to the gym in a while and will probably go for a cuppa afterwards with some of the others. I'm having my hair done today too, Saundra, cut and colour. Out dancing tonight. Safe journey to the travellers.

It certainly is a tonic after our pathetic apology of a summer Cromwell!
I'd been wimpering for weeks that I just wanted to feel warm. I've certainly been that, or hot, 24 hours a day :D

Things never go to plan, do they?

The blood place was shut - she's got flu   - so I went to the other one in Ourique. But then, of course, so had everyone else    And as I hadn't been thee before, had to go through the palaver of registering

Blood done, not a mark or bruise :D results next Thursday, which is longer than I wanted, but hey ho.

Supermarket packed, heaving, with English  everywhere I went, I could hear English being spoken. And of course, I knew a few and had to stop

So that took longer, the chemist was also busy and I didn't have time to pop into Sonia's and have a coffee and breakfast before meeting Steve and Jan.

They followed me, we left their camper at th bar and they came up here. Loved it :D :D :D Even the grumpy old person that Steve is ;) ;) Just taken them back to the bar, directed them to the IC1 and just had my rather late breakfast.

Odette told me earlier that the feijao man will be at the bar tomorrow afternoon. So I'll buy some dried beans and sweet potatoes and see what else he has.

So now a quiet afternoon, snoozing, probably, before heading back down to the bar for a beer or three.

Enjoy the rest of the day xx

Afternoon all - late starting for me, I had a guy coming out to reposition the tv aerial in the loft sometime today, he phoned at 8.45 and me, usually up and dressed long before, was still asleep! Having got zero sleep all night (cold/cough) I managed an hour after Tom left for work....

Hopefully this will make the TalkTalk picture clear and not pixelate all the time! Might have no choice but to return to Sky after all although he did say the signal was brilliant in the loft, but by the time it got down to the point in the living room, it had lost a lot of signal..... :?

So nipped out after he'd gone, and I could finally have some breakfast! I got a few bits and bobs and am now home again. Sun is trying its' best to poke through the clouds.....and after such a gorgeous day yesterday where I sat outside drinking coffee in Durham city in a sleeveless top! ;)

We have a busy weekend ahead - I worked yesterday morning as a favour for Jan (who needed to be somewhere) so she will work tomorrow for me - win/win! Except I had to forego Aquafit yesterday....Lily had rang (well her mum did) me to ask if I could pick her up from nursery yesterday (aww, such an honour!) so I did, we walked back - it's quite a walk for little legs, and she stayed for a couple of hours. Mum had finished work at 3 but Lily had wanted Gran yesterday 8-) :D And tomorrow we have a Saturday matinee to attend for my sister's am/dram group, and then Sunday we are all heading here for my brother and his wife's Golden Wedding Anniversary

http://www.tanfield-railway.co.uk/

We've to take our own plates, glasses etc, but she/they are providing the food and Prosecco :D 8-) Tom and I are heading straight up to our caravan for a few days holiday from there as it's on the way, Charlie is booked in at the cattery so we'll have to drop him in there on the way to Tanfield, and have the car packed - I can imagine Sunday morning isn't going to be very calm!!

Hope the travellers have safe journeys home - and have a good day today all xxxx

A really Autumnal day down here. To Sturminster Newton this morning to look at buying a replacement fridge/freezer; a wet and windy car journey, and at one point, as I wound the window down to get a better view of a junction, something whizzed past my nose on a gust of wind, and Mrs O in the passenger seat finished up with a lapful of wet leaves!

Have a good day, all!
