FWIW, we had a Zanussi condenser type tumble dryer up in Birmingham. We must have bought it 10 years ago at least.
The upside was that it was relatively inexpensive, slimline so it fitted nicely in a corner, and had a big enough capacity for 3 of us.
The downside was that the drain hose to the water bucket wasn't brilliant and occasionally leaked, and that it was a pig to defluff. Kept me happily amused for hours ...
It was one of the appliances we culled on moving down here. We'd rate Zanuzzi pretty highly, actually, based on other white-wear we've bought from them; this, however, was a one-off, a bit of a disappointment.
Now we just use the rotary washing line. Removing the industrial-sized cobwebs from the over-active Dorset spiders keeps me happily amused for hours.
