Yes that's right ria it's such a short season these days once the kids go back to school at one time every thing started at Easter Times change its like a ghost town in the winter never mind its quiet can't have it both ways and this week northern rail are on strike hardly any trains either

We noticed a difference over the years when we used to go to Cornwall. The first few years the shops in Bude would be open until 8 and people would be walking around the town but over time they all started closing at 'normal' times. It wasn't even out of season though, this was always August bank holiday week. It must be such a struggle for them to make a living in seaside towns.
Saw on Facebook the other day that my favourite shop there (the fudge shop) is closing for good this weekend

Went to the post office in McColls down on the main road on my way back from town this morning. There's a woman who works there and it's rare to actually see her inside the shop, she's usually outside smoking.
She served me with my stamps and I hadn't even put my purse in my bag before she was out of the door! She'd already lit up a cigarette by the time I'd put the mail in the post box

Went into Birmingham yesterday, it was busy.
Big bustling city centre, lots of people around and who did we bump into?

10 litres of red wine
4 litres of white
Half a bottle of brandy
63 bottles of beer

Small bottles of beer though not like the large cans of beer you get here

Gone to bed best place my full freezer is not right had to put it on fast freeze probably the shock of being defrosted
