Good morning Ally and all! It's very foggy here!

John's taking another day's holiday today so I'm waiting for him to get up so he can come out with me and Bill. After that we're taking Joe out for breakfast to Wetherspoons and then this afternoon it's off to Stoke for Joe's hospital appointment.

Definitely a cause for celebration Ally!! :D

Have a lovely day all!

Happy anniversary Ally.

Blue sky and sun here but not warm. Sister in law took us out for a meal last night, which was nice. Sainsbury's in a minute and then SiL's settee is being delivered this pm.

Have a good day all.

What a gorgeous lovely sunny morning here - just makes you want to be outside.

Ally enjoy surprising the parents and happy 'meet'versary
Ooh Jo, breakfast at Weatherspoons sounds fab. I was quite fancying a bacon buttie this morning but my train in was delayed by 1/2 hour so had to rush. Had porridge instead :( Good luck for the appointment
Di, Kaz and Crommers enjoy your respective days pootling and doing the various bits and bobs.

Usual / usual for me today. Although saying that Nadine is working today so there is a chance we may meet up after work

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Enjoy the celebrations Ally.

Good luck with the hospital appointment Jo xx

It was the quiz last night and we came second. More teams playing this month so a good result. Wasn't really keen to go out again after the shopping, glad we did though it was good fun.

Absolutely no plans for today, think we both need to take it a bit easy.

Have a good day :D

Good afternoon all - a beautiful autumnal day down here in the Vale; a tad chilly, but enough sunshine to encourage Mrs O to do a washing load which we got out on the line around mid-day, having first evicted, yet again, the Dorset Spiders from the rotary clothes line. Honestly, more spin than Tony Blair ...  Interesting that there were loads of butterflies out this morning - all were Red Admirals - and because our bungalow's built in the local "hamstone" which is creamy in colour, the butterflies were landing on the south-facing warm walls and flexing their wings to soak up the warmth.

To town first thing, though, and a visit to the Local Farmers Market where I purchased 2 4-packs of sausages from Hardings Farm, about 5 miles away, and a shrink-rapped prime minced beef from another stall, overall £8.53. Funny payment system here, you make your choice and you're given a "ticket" with the price on, which you have to go pay at another table and have your ticket stamped. You then take your "paid" ticket back to the vendor's stall, and exchange it for your goods.

Then up to the local high street butchers for 6 pork loin steaks and 4 boneless lamb steaks, for the freezer. Those cost £19.71 but that's 5 evening meals for us, and the quality is very good, better than yer supermarket. Finally, down to the said supermarket and Ossie's Traditional Trawl through the "reduced price" shelves which yielded a tub of mixed bean salad with 50p off. :D

Hope you're feeling better soon, Saundra .....
