First the government lost a motion for it to publish its Brexit impact papers. It was a 'Humble Address' motion and the convention is that it is binding. It effectively brings the Queen into play in that it asks her to ask for the papers. Bercow has warned that to fail to do so could put ministers in contempt.
Following hotly on its heels is the news that Defence Secretary, Michael Fallon, has resigned due to leaks of his earlier inappropriate behaviour (see t'other thread) and personal conduct. There were things out in the open re Julia Hartley-Brewer and a knee touching episode, but she had laughed that off after threatening to smash his face in if he did it again. That implies that there is more stuff under the carpet.
