Well that was a frustrating shopping trip!

I wanted to buy the boys each a selection of Tassimo coffees for Christmas, instead of the usual selection boxes and chocolates. Asda was really poorly stocked so I came away with nothing.

I wanted some Hibiscrub from Boots. Alabama Rot has been confirmed on the Chase and I thought, even though we clean Billy up well and he is a mud and water avoider wherever possible when out, it might just help. Looked on the website last night at the stock checker and it said that it's in stock at the store in town. Looked on the shelves in store and couldn't see it so asked at the pharmacy and was told that they haven't had stock of it for months.

Went to Argos to pick up an iPod for Tom for Christmas. They have a voucher promo on, spend over £100 and get a £10 voucher. I wasn't given one (they're usually printed on the receipt) so the assistant checked and there was no one who could manually authorise giving out a voucher as the manager hadn't turned up for work by then so I've got to go another time. The assistant said that the promotion probably ends next Tuesday so I'll have to collect the voucher before then as they can only issue them during the promotion. I don't think that's right though as they've failed to issue the voucher when they should've done so if I go next Wednesday then they should still honour it. It's doubtful that I can get there before then.

It took a hour

Soaking the bandage, after cutting most of it off, with lots of "advice" from Grumpy.

Soaked it in salt water, he wouldn't let me anywhere near it and I eventually persuaded him to gently pull it off.

A nasty cut, but healed, although he wants another bandage on it, I've persuaded him that fresh air is all it needs

Ria, he's a complete wimp

After he had a shower, I was able to have a better look at. He's such a wimp It's a little gunky in one place, so slapped some germaline on and will have another look on Friday.

He's still hardly using the right hand at all

So I'm doing all the driving, fetching, carrying.
