Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 07 Dec 2017, 05:48

Good morning.

Nice enough forecast. 8-)

Don's off to the UK today. His flight's at 3.30.

He's taking the car and leaving it at the airport as we'll both be flying home on Monday morning and having the car waiting there will be easier.

I'm meeting a friend tonight at 8 and we're going for a drink and then dinner.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Ally and all!

It's pouring down here so no walk yet this morning. I think it's supposed to stop shortly though. There's enough to do around the house anyway.

I made a slight bit of progress on Christmas last night; we now have a turkey, cranberry sauce, After Eights and a tub of Quality St, plus the bread sauce I'd already bought 8-)

Have a good day all!

Morning Ally, morning all :)
Weather atrocious here! Raining and extremely windy; the rain is set to go about mid morning.

Out early for craft today. My cowl is only growing slowly, I haven't done any of it in the last week

Ally I hope Don has a nice warm coat, it's getting much colder!

Hope you all have a good day
x
Ps morning Jo, well done :)

We've just been looking to see what warm stuff we can bring over.

Don's got a lovely thick parka thing with a hood.

I'm in deep do-do. :o

I put my wee red 3/4 length coat into the clothes bank in January and haven't given a thought to replacing it till now.

I'm going shopping for a coat first thing Saturday morning. There's a New Look and a Peacocks in Erdington (we're staying at Gez and Sharon's this weekend and that's where they live) so hopefully I'll get something.

Blowing a gale here and has been most of the night.
Bought my tree yesterday from the little village fruit and veg. shop
£5 for a 5ft tree and all the money going to a childrens charity.
Lovely people to do that.
Will pack a couple more parcels today and post them then write
the cards.
I don`t think i will be going far today as apart from the wind it is peeing
down.
Enjoy your day. :)

Morning everyone

Another thick frost :( :o - but the sun is out, and that should be our last one for a while.

Ally, we're a lot colder than you in the winter and I now have 3 thick coats - one for working out in and the other two for best. one is knee length and the other shorter, but both lovely and heavy - and warm

I've sent the Christmas cards Jo, (all 8 of them ;) ) that's my lot so far. We're going to Iceland. Lidl and Aldi next week, to get the frozen stuff and see if I an get some crackers too. Turkey will be got nearer the day.

Safe and pleasant flight to Don Ally x

We're visiting Mitch this afternoon, as long as he's feeling okay- I'll ring first to make sure.

Apart from that, not sure what we'll be doing - something outside I expect, once it's warmed up.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Meant to wish Don a safe journey!
The Fort's not too far away from Erdington either is it of you can't get a coat at either of those, you should do though.

Jan, I can't be bothered with the faff of having to collect a fresh turkey just before Christmas so always get a frozen one. I might get the cards done today. I found some unused ones from previous years yesterday and think I have enough. I've cut down how many I send over the years anyway, think I still need around 25 though. Thankfully most are hand delivered so I don't need to remortgage the house for the stamps.

I've been watching the wind blowing the rain down the road. Glad I don't have to go out in that. Joe's got college this afternoon but it should've brightened up by then. John's meeting his old college friend Lee in Lichfield tonight, they get the bus there and back.

Morning all :)

Ally, Don will be nice and snug! You'll definitely need to get a new coat! I had to buy a new jacket last weekend, all my winter coats and jackets are drowning me now  I gave two to the homeless mission. Which is nice in one way, but blooming expensive to have to buy new

Enjoy craft Di ;)

Jo, I've bought our Christmas choccy too - the Sainsbury's own brand "Roses" (bought some last year, really nice), two boxes of After Eights, and some Chocolate Oranges  ;)

Morning Saundra, are you feeling ok now? (((x)))

Pouring here too, but B and I are meeting R and G in the Quays for a cuppa at 11 :) :) B has work afterwards, and I'll wander up to see D :) Pilates tonight :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Kaz, I'm hoping to get to Sainsbury's for some of those too. We had some last year and they were very good!
They're all revelling in the fact that I'm not eating chocolate - all the more for them is their way of thinking
I'm going to get myself some marshmallows and Skittles I think 8-)
