John's car is a company one so insurance is arranged by them and Joe's not insured which is a pain.

He's had 27 lessons so far. Tom had around 35 before he took his test. The instructor is someone John knows from cycling and I remember that he taught another cycling friend's son after Tom and this fella asked John if he thought he was being ripped off as his son was up to 30 lessons before being told to book a test. It seems about right but it's a right drain on the bank account though.

Jo, learners have to ready, no arguing that, but the instructors should be able to judge when that should be. Waiting until that time before booking a test seems like a bit of a scam seeing as how the instructors know the lead time from booking to the actual test day.

The tea set has made me smile :)
Cousin L and I were found when our mums heard giggling behind the sofa.
We were serving each other raisin wine in our dolls' tea sets :)

Misleading headline in the paper "Johnson seeks release of mother jailed in Iran" - I'm thinking "when did Boris Johnson's mother get jailed in Iran?"

I have just done a shop so I am all prepared for the new week. Forecast says it will be freezing every night and only 3 or 4 during the days with some snow.
