Lest anyone think we're being deprived, there's still no snow down here in the Vale, but we drove "up the Rock" - Shaftesbury - this morning, and they had at least 1/2 a centimetre lying on the ground
, and a minor blizzard sweeping across the deserted town centre. Visited Tescos, the bank, WH Smiths, and Superdrug whilst we were there, had a coffee in The Ugly Duckling café, and Ossie bought a hot bacon and egg baguette wrapped in tinfoil to take home for his lunch.
Finally visited Waitrose, back in our town, for the daily shop. It's a strange store. You can buy plenty of things like ummanu chukka with miso (what the heck is miso?), but can you get a bag of frozen carrots?
I think I might be visiting Iceland before Christmas .....
Hope everyone's keeping warm and all travelling is going to plan ...
