What a morning!!

Postby Ally » 02 Jan 2018, 09:50

It was still dark when I got up and I was standing looking out of our bedroom window when I noticed a 'shape' on the grass. :?

Our bedroom looks out over the back garden and the pool and it was right by the pool I saw something.

I put my trainers and running things on then went to investigate....

It was a little cat. I went and got Don (I was upset) and he got a blanket and covered the poor wee thing.

We knew whose cat it was so we both walked round to the neighbour and told her. She got really upset.

She came to ours then and on examining Rayo couldn't see any injuries. We have a rose bush to the right of the pool and I then noticed that the earth under it had been disturbed. We think Rayo had been there for a few hours (perhaps unwell?) and didn't make it back to its home to pass away? We just don't know.

She wrapped him up and took him home. She's going to bury him in her garden later today.

I've just been up to the neighbour to make sure she's ok..she's sad, but fine.

It's really warm now so I'm going for a good long run...to clear my head.

I feel quite shaken.

Oh, poor little thing...cats do tend to find somewhere so yes under a rose bush would be likely. Then, as you say, maybe didn't have enough strength to get home (((xx)))
