Happy birthday Murphy :)
Lovely things to look forward to Ria :)

It's cleared up here and is quite bright with some sunshine :)

Afternoon all, it is quite a pleasant day here, windy but dry so far and occasional sunshine. I was at the gym this morning and am trying out a new dance class this afternoon that a few of the gym ladies go to - dancing in lines (not country line dancing). I've busy texting and messaging since I got home, about a weekend in Blackpool being organised for August, and we are thinking we might go ourselves before then, so perhaps some flight booking tonight ;)

Crommers, one of our neighbours died yesterday, the funeral is on Wednesday - not someone I particularly liked but he was a neighbour and born and raised in the house where he lived, must be in his late 70s or early 80s.

Dentist was okay - need a tooth out, as I thought :( :(

Now, the decision - an implant or a bridge. It's a lower front tooth.

Or, as I said - I'm 61, do I really care

I had the normal Portuguese pat on the arm and "we'll chat next week, when we take it out"

Also on anti-b's for 8 days to get rid of the infection. So no blood test for me this week

I guess cost, and potential cost of repairs count as much as appearance.

Indeed Di - we're so used, over here, to see people with gaps in their teeth, as it's so expensive.

We'll have a chat next week. Grumpy has said it's up+ to me. An implant could be the best.

Two thousand pounds per tooth for implants here Jan! My privately made bridge for three missing teeth at the side was 'only' around the £750 mark which saved over £5k :?

I'd be Mrs Gappy then.

Unless Grumpy can make me a wooden one    and we can paint it white ;)

How much??!! :o :o

Definitely under 1000 euros per implant here.

In fact I know of a woman in the UK who needed quite extensive dental treatment...it was cheaper for her to fly over here and book a hotel room!

Yep, my friend Emma has to have a tooth out and needs to decide whether to have an implant, a bridge or just leave a gap. It's quite near the back so....... :? She's been quoted £2k.

Ally that's happening here quite often now, people going to Europe for cheaper treatment!
