Di, it's awful that you'd end up paying more towards a motability car.

John's car is leased by his company. He's had a company car for over 20 years now and the lease on this one expires in a year. He's seriously thinking about not bothering getting a new car because the tax he pays for the privilege of this 'perk' is shocking. He's always been savvy and chosen cars which he'll pay less income tax for but from April this year he'll be paying an extra £40-something per month and then an extra £70+ on top of that from April next year. It's really not worth it any more and we could actually lease one ourselves for much less than he's paying in tax for this one :?

We went to the nearest dealer to us which is Hyundai, and liked one with the catchy name of ix20 :)
I'm going tomorrow morning to have a test drive, and if I'm happy I'll order one, don't see the point in traipsing around further afield :)
I could keep the Yeti, but who wouldn't like a new car :D

We also went to a garden centre for coffee and stayed for lunch - possibly the biggest club sandwich ever! :)

Jo I quite see John's point, unless he's doing a huge amount of miles.

The Hyundai ix20 gets very good reviews Di, what colour would you go for?

We enjoyed the film, quite different from the other Marvel characters, but lots of action so we were happy :D

Just got in to find a letter from the hospital, my new date is Thurs 1st March. Trying to manage my expectations, got to hope the antibiotics work on the UTI in plenty of time, oh and that it isn't cancelled again.......

Excellent result Jan (apart from the tax, obvs!).

If you're giving the Skoda away Di, I'll have it! ;)

John's Mom bought an i10 Di - she loves it! I assume the i20 is the next size up?

Our car is red, it's a Renault Kadjar.

John doesn't do all that many miles, and because several of them have now opted out of having a company car the company are leasing a couple of cars for general use as it's working out cheaper than paying them for using their own cars for site visits.

Jen! Fingers crossed!
