It's going to make such a difference Jan - when is the work due to start and when are you hoping to be finished?

Good morning all, it's dry and cold here. Mr Osc's friend has just cried off their golf, saying it is too cold  Mr Osc is going up to the club anyway, he needs to toughen himself for the very cold temperatures forecast for St Andrews next week :? It really is beginning to look as if himself and SIL will not get to play  which is devastating as it has all been booked since October :( and there is nothing we can do about it.

Off to the gym shortly and dancing tonight. Di, I am glad that the magic pills are easing the pain xx

Morning all :D

Nice and dry, but the temperature has definitely dropped a few degrees.

Glad the magic pills are helping Di, hope they continue to ease the pain xx

Congratulations on your promotion Ally :D

Feeling a lot better today so fingers crossed. E's catching a bus into town to get his hair cut, I'm staying here in the warm.

Have a good day :D

Hopefully, next month :Hi: :Hi: But the weather for the next two weeks is wet, so can't be laying bricks in that. but the inside stuff can be done, building a wall in the utility room, knocking one down from the car-port into the utility room.

I saw some lovely tiles - sadly, they also had a very nice price :o

Will keep on looking ;)

Hi all! :D

Well it's finally here, our night out to celebrate Jan's retiring - very mixed feelings as on the one hand she needs to do this, but on the other we have been friends as well as work pals for 11 years and I will miss the bones of her!!! :( She has one more week to work, but tonight we are all (all our staff, bar a couple) off to see Lionel Ritchie (tribute, of course, not the real thing ;) ), have a meal and a bit of a dance. I can't drink much as I'm at work tomorrow :x Not looking forward to that - those four days off (no Saturday in) last weekend were FAB and I really appreciated them. Also - how weird is this?? Two of my Aquafit ladies are also going to the bash tonight!! They're going with another swimming group but we only found out yesterday over post Aqua coffee, that we'd all be at the same venue! 8-) :D

Popped into town this morning for a mooch and a coffee - got a top out of the charity shop and also a lovely pink jumper with lacy sleeves from New Look along with a sparkly pair of earrings, both in the sale - bargain! :D

Have a great day everyone :D

Well done on the promotion Ally!

It's always bittersweet when a well liked colleague leaves isn't it Gal? Good for them maybe but you do miss them.

Good afternoon! A busy day so far, supermarket shopping then dropping MrsC off at the dentist through the traffic hell of Wakey city centre. Sometimes it's worse than others and today was bad. They have been messing about - sorry, doing road improvement for what seems like forever and they still haven't blinking finished.

MrsC is then seeing our children for a coffee and cake meet up. I've been chopping up veg for a bolognese tonight.

Then a quiet night in and I think an early night as well.

Enjoy the rest of today everyone.

Thanks - we had a BRILLIANT night!! :D :D Really enjoyed it, Jan loved the necklace and bangle we bought for her (which I chose, such pressure to get it right as it was everyone's hard earned cash!) I popped a reed diffuser in the bag along with a bottle of Prosecco and a box of choccies, so she didn't do badly 8-) We had a really nice meal, I had to go easy on the wine as I was working next morning, but still had a lorra laughs! Dancing - and how funny is this?? The people Tom and I spent all of last Saturday with at Sunderland football stadium were sitting on the very next table to us!! :o :D  So we had photos taken with some of them and had a dance with them too...AND two of the ladies from my Thursday Aquafit were there with their other Aquafit class (a Monday one which I don't go to) and they were on the table behind us!! Considering the room was packed to the rafters - I'm thinking maybe in excess of 1000 people in there - amazing! :D :D
