Morning everyone

We had your rain Ally    It hammered down for most of the night, with strong winds too. The pool will have to have an inch or two let out later  as more is forecast.

Hope Jen is okay, hadn't seen anything.

Take care over there if you really need to go out. Crommers, ring the dentist and ask when they could fit you in next. Net there will be quite a few others not able to make it.

Molly wanted to go out in the early hours and came back, 2 hours later, like she'd been in the pool - drenched isn't the word

We're off to Ouirique later, for beer, wine and food. In saying that, we're also going out for dinner tonight, as it's been a while.

Hugs for the poorlies xx

How is pepper this morning Kaz?

have as warm a day as you can everyone xx

Morning all

Well a nippy -8 all the way to the station this morning; definitely the coldest morning so far. The trains (touch wood) have been fine, but for some reason it would seem that Surrey County Council hadn't gritted as many roads as they should have. I went the main road this morning and it took ages so got to work late, but at least I made it.

The tubes are reporting major delays, loads of schools closed and all because of no more than 3cm or so of snow - it's quite astounding, it really is :)

Hope Jen is OK :(

Usual / usual for me today; although it is Wednesday and Nadine is at work so we may do the usual quick meet up after work. As Di has said they are expecting more snow overnight so tomorrow may be a bit more tricky getting in so I'll make sure all is as up to date as can be just in case

Have a lovely day all, stay warm and dry everyone (well except Ally, she's always warm and dry! ) and don't venture out unless you have to

Ally have fun at the festival - that paella sounds fab

Morning all, popping in quickly to say we decided at 6.30am not to travel - lots of snow here, we have a Red weather alert, and listening to Scottish radio it said not to travel if you don't have to. Will sort out refunds etc. later but off shortly to play with Michael and Kellie in the snow :D Not had snow like this since Michael was a tiny baby and Kellie has never seen it! We hope to go somewhere in Dublin for one night at least. Will update later!

Good Morning all,
I am really fed up with everything. After all that snow we had yesterday
we had more overnight so still can`t get car out and it is too slippery to
walk.
To make matters really bad we woke up to no water!!!
I phoned round and was told to turn boiler off so no heating!
Water board man has just come round with some bottled water for us
and said if it is a frozen pipe (which he thinks it is as it was -13 here in Faversham
early this morning) there is not much he can do. He told me to pour warm water
down where the pipe goes indoors and put warm towels round it.
I have done that and low and behold it has worked so we have water and i have
put the boiler back on.
There is now a blizzard blowing all the snow off the trees. Ihave had to change
my clothes as i got soaked by it.
Have a good day and stay warm.

Afternoon all, spent most of the night in A&E, didn't get home until just after 5am. Will post on the Health Board.

Good luck at the dentist Di.

Having a quiet day, wondering if I'll get the dreaded phone call again.......

Have a good day xx

I've walked Billy, my goodness it was cold!! We stuck to the woods as much as possible to shelter from the icy cold wind. Still walked 4 miles though

Hope that Jen's feeling a bit better this morning xx
