Yes the raging sea cold water and very high tide and high winds awfull we had that every day for 6days loads of damage on the beaches aswell

How marvellous that that short film starring the 6 year old deaf girl from Swindon won at the Oscars in Hollywood.
We saw on the local news that the lass was out there for the award ceremony - what a fantastic time it must have been for her ....

Directed by a bloke from Cannock, there was a screening of it at the little fleapit in town recently.

What a wonderful experience for the little girl!

I have never known a cat sleep so much

We came back at 6.00, she went out for half an hour, having been in, asleep, since 3.

She had something to eat, couldn't decide in which room to sleep and is now under a bed somewhere

We probably won't see her until about 4, when she'll bat me on the arm or leg, whinge and then want to go out, want to not go out , just to have a look-see and sniff

I really need to get some strawberries. The people in front of me in Aldi last night had two punnets on the conveyor and my mouth started watering, and now you've mentioned them too

I bought 2 punnets today Jo as well as big fat plums and some peaches.

I'm swapping a shed load of our lemons with a neighbour for her avocados and figs.

I hate figs..Don loves them.

I've never tried fresh figs, but I'm partial to a fig roll

Our fig tree is just bare twigs at the moment
