Sitting outside the bar in Encalho, watching the ducks, geese, chickens, dogs, roosters - in the not too hot sunshine

Sat outside, watching the rain

Making sure Grumpy is okay

What a difficult thing to answer - I have so many.

Walking in the country.
Listening to the songs from the good old days in my CD collection.
Eating the wonderful meals my dear wife prepares.
Having a good night's sleep.
Remembering some of the wonderful things that have enhanced my life.

And, of course, my darling wife, and my visits to all my friends on this website

Getting sent a photo or a text to say my boy has had a good day, that is my very favourite thing and makes everything right in my world

I'm surprised no-one has posted this.....

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favourite things

Cream coloured ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favourite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favourite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favourite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Hearing Don getting up in the morning and knowing he is ok.
Phone calls from my son and daughter.
Just waking up ready for another day.

This is difficult!

Freshly brewed coffee, the smell and taste.
Clear, starry nights.
Billy.
That moment when you go to a concert and the band or singer walk onto the stage.
Time spent laughing and chatting with John, Tom and Joe.
When the ball hits the back of the net at a match (unless it's the opposition who scored).

 but it will be proper gin, gin gin, none of this camomile and elderflower or blueberries and melon nonsense. And the tonic won't be diet - with a twist of ****, it will be a good robust quinine tonic with possibly a splash of angostura bitters to liven it up. Cheers!
