I have these visions: Jones the butcher's wagon and Cpt Mainwaring, and Hyacinth Bucket with Onslow's car.

I had a different but very similar vision.

Many years ago when my mother and father were courting, they went to a boating lake one sunny afternoon. Mum got in the boat, my dad got in and used one of the oars to push the boat off. Unfortunately he was standing at the rear of the boat and the oar he was holding stuck in the mud at the bottom of the pond. Dad kept hold of the oar, the boat drifted slowly, steadily away..... feet on the boat, hands clamped to the oar....

Splash! He went full length into the lake. Mum could never tell that tale without dissolving into fits of laughter.

Something wrong in this house - we've just about run out of boxed wine.

Does that mean we have to open a bottle??
