8 weeks already

Postby pollR78 » 13 Mar 2018, 06:11

Yep as the title says, my gorgeous boy will be 8 weeks tomorrow and has his immunisations tomorrow too :(

All is going well, iv had a few wobbles and think im on the verge of PND again but really trying to fight it and get out and about. The snow the other week didnt help and inhope it doesnt come back as predicted, hate snow!! Saw on Facebook there is a new mums walking group started locally for mums struggling with low mood/depression, they meet on a Monday at 915, go a walk then to a cafe for a cuppa, im going to start going next week and also signed up for Baby Massage with George to start next month hopefully.

Lots going on, iv submitted my application to uni to hopefully get a place on a year long masters course - secondment so still employed and full pay, this would mean career progression to become a health visitor. Crazy yes but its very competitive and i need to get on it, passed one of the modules last year and had interview set up then became pregnant and withdrew my application so need to do this.
We are also going to be moving house in the next few weeks, managed to get an exchange with someone (as im council tenant), so moving half a mile away to the street I grew up on, to a 3 bedroom property :) stressful but be worth it! I moved into this house when Amy was tiny and cant believe im doing it again lol!! So its all go

Also going to view some nurseries at the end of the week, 1 of them has great reviews and the girl who looked after Amy when she was at nursery works there so looks like that might be the one, its 10mins drive away but be worth it as i obviously want to make sure my boy is in good hands! Need a lotto win to clear my debt then i could stayboff work a lot longer :/

Ohhhh......George’s dad has been amazing, we are together but he doesn’t live here, wasn’t planning on seeing him on Mother’s Day as he had stayed Friday night, so id gone out to the beach with my babies, he passed and popped a gift card for TK Maxx through my door from George....£100! So feeling very lucky, and feel very happy which is such a nice feeling!!

Oh and then il be 40 later in the year and what a rollercoaster year it will have been!!!

Hope you are all well

Poll well done on getting so organised, plans are good.

The walking group should be lovely, I pass one round here quite often, different mums and babies, they've been going a good few years!
Good luck with the move, always stressful but worth it xx

Where's the time going Poll?

So glad that life is treating you well, George's Dad sounds like a really good bloke xx
The walking group sounds like a really good idea - being home with a newborn, as lovely as they are, can be very isolating.

Good luck with the move!

I've been enjoying George's photos on FB, he is so gorgeous! The walking group is a great idea. Miss Osc's friend teaches baby massage, both mum and baby benefit. Moving house is always stressful even without a small baby, so take care if yourself and accept all and any help that is offered. What a lovely thing for George's dad to do on Mother's Day, I think you have a good one there.
