Good morning Tuesday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 13 Mar 2018, 06:31

Good morning.

Sunshine and clouds forecast but I'll be too busy to notice!

Going for a run and then will wait for our new cleaning lady to turn up for a chat. Her sister has been 'doing' for us for 3 years and is moving to Seville to live but her sis is happy to step in...phew! The only thing is Maria can only do a Friday where as Julietta did Monday's but a Friday is fine with me as I'm always out and about.

Walking into town to the post office after that then to the bank and Mercadona.

I also want to make sure I have all the ingredients for a bibimbap. It was on Masterchef last night and I fancy making it on Sunday.

Work 4 - 9 then home to whatever my own personal masterchef has cooked.

Have a great day everyone.

I'll attack the kitchen this morning and maybe the ironing - maybe not

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all

started off as a glorious sunny day; but now overcast and grey and meant to stay like that - but don't think much rain is expected

Ally, is the bibimbap a korean street food steamed bun thing ?
I am seriously thinking of getting in a "lady wot does" - mainly to have an addition vacuum and dust once during the week; otherwise it just gets too much over the weekend.
Jan, you're going to develop webbed feet if that rain continues; but it's needed so no complaining I suppose. As long as it's dry and warm (hot) later this year when I hope to pop over ;)
Kaz, enjoy the walk, albeit in the rain

Usual work day for me then having nails done this evening - so home a bit later. Will probably miss the start of celebrity GBBO so will watch on catch up tomorrow instead

Have a lovely day all xxx

Morning :)
Quite nice here, cloudy but bits of blue, supposed to be the best day of the week.

Already had my phone appt, bloods ok for treatment tomorrow.
Got to try and clear a load of washing, am seriously behind having had a few days out of doing things.

Ria yes get one, it's so nice knowing once a week it's all taken care of, and will free up a good chunk of your precious weekends x
Kaz sorry you have rain x

Haven't watched Masterchef yet, looking forward to the bibimbap though :)
Have a good day all

Morning all :D

Not sure what the weather's doing here, we've had rain but it seems okay now.

Being in constant pain is so draining Di, I do hope you've managed to talk to someone about improving your pain management xxx

It stays dry we're planning to pop over to our big shopping centre Westwood Cross, just 10/15min drive away, later this morning. I've decided to upgrade my phone, it's been great, but the storage is registering almost full and no amount of clearing out the cache helps. It's a Samsung Galaxy S5, definitely outdated, they launch the S9 in two days time. I love the system so will probably stay with Samsung and go for the S7 or S8, depends on the offers.

Have a good day :D

Morning all, it's a bright sunny day here. I need to go and do some shopping but won't go too far - Mr Osc has a bad attack of vertigo so I want to stay close to home. This is only the second time, thankfully I have tablets for dizziness so he is back on those. If he has more attacks I will have to try and get him to the doctor but at the moment, we are focussed on next week as the children arrive on Friday evening for a week. I'm making out a food plan for the week and will base the shopping list on that, we do food plan but normally just being the two of us we can be flexible. With Michael and Kellie here, we will need to be a bit more organised.

Di, I'm sorry you are still in so much pain :(

Morning all, it's grey here despite a nice day being forecast (and I'd done two loads of washing on the strength of that last night, ready to go on the line this morning).

Bill's had a walk around the village, it's way too waterlogged and muddy on the common and in the woods after non-stop heavy rain yesterday. It took John much longer than normal to get home last night as the roads were flooded.

I'm trying to do some holiday planning. So far on the itiniery is Coney Island, Brighton Beach, a mooch around Brooklyn and the 9/11 Museum. We want to go up the new World Trade Centre tower but I'm keeping an eye on weather forecasts before booking that, don't want to go in there on a rainy misty day. There's not really much need to prebook things like that but it basically cuts down on queuing time, it's one less queue to stand in!

Have a good day all!

Oh, and John doesn't know it yet but a visit to Tiffany's is planned :P
I want a new wedding ring. My original one is a 14ct yellow gold one which I went out and bought from a wholesale jeweler on Broadway the morning after we got married (didn't want to jinx it by taking a ring with us) and I don't wear yellow gold any more.
