Afternoon all :D

Snow here, if it doesn't clear quickly I can see my op being put off again........

Definitely no plans for today, E popped into town earlier to get some veggies, but I'm staying here in the warm.

Have a good day :D

We now have snow showers
Sunshine
And bitter cold wind
The only flower in my garden is a plastic daffodil of Scarlett going round in the wind

It hasn't stopped hammering it down

The normal dry bed is a torrent - and we have to go over that later. Might not be going out

Just had to let another couple of inches of water out of the pool - and the pump room is also awash

Weird weather here. Five minutes since it was a blizzard with high winds. Now it's blue sky and sunshine.

Afternoon all.

I've just fixed the hot water boiler (burned out element), and have to stack the bag of logs I bought, yesterday, so I can get another one in and stacked. Mrs S arrives back on Tuesday so I need it ready for her and I'll be in London.

I turned down a job offer in Brussels yesterday. My immediate boss has just learned that her partner has been diagnosed with terminal lung and liver cancer. I wasn't overly keen to go to Brussels but it was a commitment in time which was longer than what I have now. In the end, after a lot of contemplation on it, I could not see me sinking the ship like that.

Aggers, the reality of Global Warming is that we no longer know what "cold" and "snowy" is really like. Because it's too warm now. I was impressed with how London managed the last blast of cold. But I doubt we could, today, handle a real winter.

Have a great time I'm off back to the tunnel tomorrow.

That's how it's been here all day, and at times the blizzards have even been happening while we've had the blue sky and sunshine.

I have said this before, but I will say it again - there's a reason why you have children when you are young  Michael and Kellie are gorgeous and I love them unconditionally, but goodness it's tiring! I think it is the early start, plus I was more or less awake from about 3.30am :( then it is non stop. They were up to our bed at 7am, eventually we got up, had breakfast, showers and got dressed, I unpacked all their stuff, made the beds and tidied around....and it was still only 11am  We had an early lunch, then headed to the harbour where there is a prawn festival in progress. Awful weather for it, bitterly bitterly cold although dry, but the children got to go on the fairground rides - however we didn't stay too long, even the children were saying they were cold plus Michael and Mr Osc wanted to see the rugby. Great result! They are both in bed asleep now, they have a good bedtime routine. I already have our electric blanket on and won't be staying up much later!

Osc, I honestly don't know how those grandparents who provide full-time care, while parents work, do it! Just the thought tires me out

Hope you sleep well :D
