Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 18 Mar 2018, 07:15

Good morning.

Sunshine and clouds today.

We had a fantastic day yesterday and it was lovely being with the boys. :D :D

We're off to Cartama market this morning. One of our favourites although I'm sure Don likes the cafe we go to afterwards just as much.

This afternoon we're going for a good long walk all over town, have a couple of beers at a bar and bring a Chinese takeaway home. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Yes, I bet the weather of the east coast was rough yesterday Saundra. I could go a bacon baguette right now Di. We have snow too Cruiser, quite a bit of it. Boy, am I ready for spring. Enjoy the sunshine Ally, I wish we had some.

The optimists at Wakefield Trinity rugby league club didn't cancel the game against Widnes last night. They should have, because they had to abandon it after 27 minutes because of the weather, blizzard like snow and a freezing wind. The Widnes fans, who had had a 2hr journey to get to Wakefield on the M62, were not best pleased - understandably so.

Our son went out in the village last night and slept over with us instead of walking back to his home in the next village, the weather was so bad. He played football yesterday in Dewsbury, he said he'd never been so cold in his life. To make things worse their kit includes short sleeved shirts!

We need one item from the shop for Sunday dinner and that's as far as I'm going today.

Keep warm and safe all.

Morning all, it has been snowing steadily since we got up, blowing sideways in a strong wind. The gale force winds were a bit frightening overnight. The children came into us at 7am (Michael rather sweetly told us that he had been reading to Kellie since they woke just after 6am). We all stayed in bed until 8am, we have had breakfast, Kellie is looking at something on Mr Osc's phone, Mr Osc is teaching Michael to play poker and I am just about to tidy up before showers and getting dressed. We had thought we might bring them to the cinema today, but I don't think we will be going anywhere in this weather, so maybe we will have a movie afternoon here. Need to get to the shop for popcorn!

Lots of snow here again. I'm sick of it! We just saw our neighbour while we were out with Billy and she'd just had a text from Sainsbury's saying that her home delivery was cancelled.

I got up at about 9am and the clock thermostat said 12.8 so I went back to bed. I am now up again and it is a balmy 14.7. Heating is on and so is a pan ready to make a full English. We have had snow, still having it, and it is sticking. Listening to the few cars venturing out and it sounds icy, not surprising as the weather site says it is -2 and not likely to get above freezing till Monday afternoon. Ah well.

Stay safe everyone and pray for some decent TV... as if.

Morning all :D

We still have snow, but it's definitely better than yesterday, very cold though.

No plans for today, staying inside in the warm. Roast chicken for dinner later.

Have a good day :D

Aren't we all !!!

We won't be going anywhere today, but we have plenty of indoor jobs that need doing.

Take care if you go out.
