Afternoon all, it is a glorious day here, and although it is still rather cold, the wind has gone down so it is pleasant in the sun. So far, our time with the children has been disappointing for them, due to the atrocious weather over the weekend (a bank holiday here) and poor Kellie being unwell since Saturday. I am bringing her to the doctor this afternoon, she is very miserable with a fluctuating temperature, very lethargic, no appetite, and last night she threw up while in bed - I'm glad of the fine weather today as I got all the bedding washed and out on the line. My sister is helping out by bringing Michael to his swimming class this afternoon while I bring Kellie to the doctor.

On Sunday night Michael stayed up to watch Dancing with the Stars, but unfortunately he then could not get to sleep, he worked himself up into a little "oh I can't sleep" state. We knew this happened him occasionally but never has here. In the end I slept in the spare room with Kellie while Michael slept with Mr Osc. At this stage, I am so tired that I am almost nauseous, but if we can get Kellie sorted, I might sleep all night tonight. At least yesterday we were able to go back to the funfair as the sun was shining. Kellie tired very quickly and we came home but Michael and Mr Osc went off to explore, listened to music and had an icecream.

Things can only get better!!

Oh dear Osc, that does all sound very tiring.
Maybe next time you might consider splitting the children?
I had my s/sister's daughter for the weekend a couple of times while I was still working, but their son went elsewhere.

We weren't out in time for lunch, it was after 1.30 when we left the hospital, and had to stop for some shopping as well.
Instead we treated ourselves to bought sandwiches, and ate as soon as we got home :)

Just back from the doc, she has bad tonsillitis. Although she cried before we went, saying she didn't want to go, she chatted while in the car and was really good while being examined. So we have an antibiotic, Calpol and Nurofen, and hopefully there might be some improvement by tomorrow. Hubby just texted Miss Osc and SIL - doc asked had we told them, I said we were waiting to see what was wrong. She said to do it when I got home, as under new child protection rules, the doc herself has to contact them when the child is not with a parent or legal guardian.

Di, they were originally to spend the weekend with SIL's sister if you recall. It is unfortunate but these things happen, we have got the first dose in, and another before bed will start her off nicely.
