good morning all.

just been for a morning walk, but it's a bit on the cold side, and we're glad to be back.

We're off to Sidmouth tomorrow for a 5-day holiday, so were hoping it's not too wintery. Sorting out what we have to pack now.

Will be back next week.

Have a nice happy Easter.

Nice and bright here, hope it lasts.

We're having roast pork for dinner yummy. Other than that it's going to be a lazy day.

Afternoon all, it is a very dull day here and still very chilly. However, straight after breakfast, we got a bus to the other side of the hill (about 10 minutes) and walked back along the cliffs. That's the very posh area and there are some ridiculously big houses being built, how big a house do you need  It was nice along the cliffs although still very muddy in places, but we really enjoyed it. Back now and I am heading for the shower. We have a little rack of lamb for dinner, and the nice cake that Mr Osc made yesterday. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day.

Well we've had a not so brilliant Easter. Went up to the caravan on Friday - our new DG windows are fab!! But the weather was not - constant rain all the time and clearly much of Northumberland had had it for days already, everywhere was soggy and there were loads of floods on the roads....and the site. We cranked the heaters up and cleaned the van top to bottom.....watched the forecast which said more rain till Sunday and Tom said should we go home? It was truly miserable, I can't describe how crap it was, the rainwater was coming off the caravan roof like a waterfall and the grass all over the site was soaking wet with massive puddles all over the place. So at 7.30 we packed up and left it. It was lovely to get back to a warm house.

Anyway yesterday we woke to more rain so we set off to visit Jen via the MetroCentre and it looked like everyone else was doing the same! A1 was cram packed, so we diverted and ended up having a breakfast in Asda at the Galleries (Washington)! The spray on the mway was horrible, and people were driving far too fast for the conditions...

Today started off cloudy but dry (!!) we have had approx. 40 hours of continual rain ....so we decided to have a ride to the coast. It got nicer the longer we were out, so at least we have salvaged one dry/good day! Gorgeous to walk on the beach - the stones and pebbles from the high storm tides are in evidence, very different from before. Seaburn first and to our fave eatery, The Salt House Kitchen, and then back past Seaham where we stopped off again for a walk, at least I did 12000 steps :D

Happy Easter everyone xxxx

Kaz I hope H is ok xx

He'll be fine thanks Gal :) Sorry you had to abandon your weekend, it was vile here yesterday too, and forecast to be tomorrow! Sunny today, but I've been too busy to get out and enjoy it

Was lovely to see Chris, he seems much better than he was at Christmas, he's lost a bit of weight too, which is what the docs told him to do. The lamb was really nice, and we've eaten our body weight in chocolate - I washed mine down with a couple of glasses of pinot......hic!!
