Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 15 Apr 2018, 05:53

Good morning.

Hot and sunny. 8-) 8-)

Yesterday was such a fantastic day - zillions of laughs and mum & dad loved all the banter. :D :D :D

Ed, James, Don & myself are getting the 11.30 bus into Malaga. Wolves - Birmingham are playing and we're going to Morriseys to watch it. Conor & Lucia are joining us. After that it's The Old Firm game. :D :D

C & L will leave us and go and have lunch with her parents. The rest of us are going to meet Jacob and have a walk round the port and lunch at a chiringuito. :D :D

More mooching round the cathedral area then Ed & James are going to walk to la Rosaleda to watch Malaga v Real Madrid. Conor's mate and his brother have season tickets and for a small fee gave their tickets to Ed & James - who for the duration of the game will be Fabio and Arturo!

Don and I will get the bus back to our town, have a beer in Jose's and will no doubt fall into bed around midnight.

Heaven knows what time our guests will get home but they have a key.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning :)
Yesterday was lovely after the fog cleared; today just looks dull.

A very full day Ally, sounds like a good one :)
We too will have visitors. One of Bb's nieces (he has two) and her little boy, plus youngest, are all coming for lunch.

Alice used to spend quite a lot of time with us, she loves her uncle Bry, and her cousins, but of course things change as they get older so we don't see so much of her now.
Looking forward to seeing them :)

Hope you all have a good day

Morning all :)

Ally that all sounds lovely! Hope you have a great day again today, especially Fabio and Arturo

Di, that will be lovely! I hope you and Bb have a fab day :) xx

It's a bit grey out there, compared to the beautiful sunny day we had yesterday, but never mind it might improve ;) We're going to the Quays again, I saw a nice bag in the Cath Kidston shop window yesterday and am going back for it :) My gym bag is on its last legs, and this one was an ideal size and half price :D 8-)

B is working again, I hope she has a nicer day than yesterday! There was a bad house fire on an estate near the vets. The family got out, then dad went back in for their three dogs, who were quite badly injured. They were rushed into the vets with burns but the main danger was smoke inhalation, so it was touch and go overnight :( One of the hazards of the job, but she does take it to heart :(

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning everyone

Dull and grey here. Thunderstorms later

Sounds as if good days will be had by Ally, Fabio and Arturo as well as Di and Bb :D :D

That's the sad part of the job, isn't it Kaz

I will be the domestic goddess today, even with 2 rather sore fingers

Despite the weather, we're having a bbq, even if we have to use the old car-port   so will be making the black bean thingy later, to go with it.

Not sure what Grumpy will be doing, something biuldingy probably :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, back to grey and foggy after a glorious day yesterday.

Sorry I haven't had time to check in much over the last few days. It's been busy busy busy! My sister's wedding was really lovely, just a smallish wedding and a very happy occasion. I'm thrilled to bits to have Roger as my brother in law, couldn't wish for better! Afterwards we came home, changed back into jeans  and treated Shannon to an evening of home DVDs. The night before, she and Tom had trawled through loads of old photo albums. Yesterday we spent the morning with Tom and Shannon before Tom went to work, we then drove Shannon back to Wolverhampton so that she could work on an essay. Popped around to see Ruth as it was her birthday on Friday but they'd been away until Friday evening so I hadn't been able to take her gifts earlier. We then called in to see my parents, then back home for dinner before waiting for Tom to finish work. Next up was dropping Joe in town and Tom back at Wolverhampton.

Me and Joe are shortly off to get a train to Manchester for a 4pm kick off. John's out on his bike at the moment but is dropping us at the station as there are now no Sunday buses. He'll then come home to await the re-arrival of his mother, she'll be here then until Wednesday :?

Ally, Shannon posted on Instagram just before 2am - Wolves celebrations were still on going in the pub next door to their flat and they couldn't sleep, it's a city centre pub near to the ground. I've warned them that there's a home game today.

Kaz, how awful. I hope that B has a better day and that it's good news about the dogs. I couldn't do her job x

Have a good day all xx

Morning all, it's raining here :x :x We had a nice meal with friends last night, they were staying in a hotel about 20 minutes away. Their daughter had booked it online, the hotel site was showing fully booked so she booked it through one of those booking sites, not as a present though. When they arrived, the hotel said they didn't have the booking. After some toing and froing between E, their daughter and the booking site, the hotel said they had a cancellation, and they got the penthouse suite :o It was gorgeous! Now I was a teeny bit suspicious that the daughter planned this as it is their wedding anniversary, but E said no. This is the couple with whom we are going on the Queen Mary in June, so it was lovely to sit and talk all things cruise.

Dancing this afternoon, our friends are coming too. We've had a brunch kind of breakfast as we won't feel like cooking when we get home, and there will be sandwiches and cake at the dance. I have almost everything ready for going away on Tuesday, we are childminding tomorrow so I had to be organised.

Morning all

Ally your day is just go go go :D enjoy
Di, enjoy your visitors as well
Kaz, glad that the dad managed to get out OK with the dogs; that could have gone horrendously wrong.
Jo, glad the wedding was fun
Osc, that's a nice upgrade; did they pay at the booked price or did they have to pay more for it?
Jan, BBQ planned here as well despite the weather :D got to be done

I'm pootling about doing the washing this morning then off for some grocery shopping and then to Karl and Nadine. Had a very lazy day yesterday so now have to catch up - oh well. But absolutely exhausted; I was at a friends 50th in Crystal Palace last night and left at a decent time to get the train home. Got to Clapham Junction only to find out that no trains were running past Surbiton due to a fatality on the line. So we got as far as Surbiton, then they dithered about continuing on because the track apparently was reopening but then they diverted the train to Guildford instead of heading to Woking (it's a different line). So there I was at half past midnight (should have been home by this point) stuck in Surbiton. Apparently replacement buses had been ordered but there weren't any. I walked up the road a bit and managed to find a cab so nabbed that one - found another family who shared it and off we went. I got home around 1.30am only. It made for a very long (and expensive) day. Now going to have a battle on my hands to get the cab money refunded from the train company.

but hey; early night tonight and all will be fine again tomorrow :D

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny here, not quite as bright as yesterday, but definitely an improvement on the last week or so.

We have a new great granddaughter, Eliza weighed in at 7lbs yesterday at 3pm, Hannah's doing well :D :D :D I'll put a piccie on the photo board.

No plans for today, having roast chicken for dinner later and that's about it.

Have a good day :D

Oh congratulations Jen, lovely news :)

Jo, me neither  Glad the wedding went well :)

Ria it definitely could have gone very wrong, but who knows what we might do in the same circumstances? :? :( Luckily there is good news! Two of the dogs have recovered well enough to be discharged, and while the third is still pretty poorly he's holding his own 8-) :) xxx
