Good afternoon, it's a miserable wet day here  I've been busy with stuff this morning and just had lunch. Shortly we'll go and do the supermarket shop, the cupboards are pretty bare. This evening we will babysit for a little while so Miss Osc can go running, before SIL gets home.

That sounds lovely Di :)

Ria, it would have been fine BUT the problem is with the manufacturer :( It is a steroid/Vit D gel called Dovobet. My prescription is for the 30g bottle, but this is unavailable due to a glitch with the manufacturer. The 60g bottle is still available, but the online pharmacy contacted me to say they couldn't send me that without a fresh prescription for the new amount  I rang my surgery, bearing in mind I first submitted the repeat request on the 27th of March, only to be told I would have to submit a NEW request for the new script, and wait three working days :(

I did ask if it could be fast-tracked seeing as this delay has not been my fault, and my legs are red raw, but apparently not! So I'm moving surgeries, to the one that D goes to as she seems to get great service down there. In fact both Mick and I have been patients there before, when I first came to Gloucester 14 years ago, after I first met Mick. I collected the forms, and the receptionist could not have been more helpful! 8-)

Kaz, that's shocking! There's absolutely no reason why you should have to wait three working days. I wonder what response you'd have got if you'd called back and someone else had answered. I remember when Joe needed his pre op immunisations ASAP last year, one receptionist steadfastly refused an urgent appointment and when I called and spoke to another she immediately offered him one for in a couple of hours time.

You have to wait 3days for a repeat prescription here I have never liked my doctors practice but you can't change to another practice because all lists are closed although the nhs have to find you a practice it could be 50mile away glad you are getting sorted kaz

Thanks both :) :)

Jo, you might well be right, but I've been unhappy with that surgery for a while, so this was the last straw  ;)

I don't blame you for moving :)
We used to have a really awkward receptionist at our surgery. If you called and heard "Colliery Practice, Lesley speaking" you just knew that you'd get nowhere  She was there for years but I think she's retired though now as I quite often see her out and about in various places on weekdays.
