Bonkers weather

Postby JanB » 06 May 2018, 19:24

Was a glorious day, we read, didn't bother with the re-planting - too hot ;)

BBQ time we said.

Huge blacks clouds came over and we had the most massive thunderstorm for an hour    with lots of rain :Hi: :Hi: .

So we de-camped to the new bedroom and lit the bbq in there. And ate there :Hi: :Hi: . Just come inside, as the rain has started again.

This is May for heavens sake :cute: :cute:

Probably because we moved here :? :? :?

In the Algarve, it was wall to wall sunshine. And hot, for most of the year.

Here, we have more seasonal weather, as in England. And it's farming country too.

There are a couple of micro climates, not too far away, but hotter and wetter. Another couple of others are more temperate.

it's actually quite nice to have proper seasons again, but even the locals are fed up with the cold and long, long winter we've had.

Other than that, no idea - just one of those things.

I remember the 3 holidays we had in Portugal (all late August) the weather was lovely and hot in the day but we definitely all needed cardie/hoodies for the evening.

Atlantic chill.
