Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 12 May 2018, 05:24

Good morning. :D

As temps are due to hit nearly 30 degrees I'm off for my run early! 8-)

We're going into Malaga this afternoon to meet up with Conor to go to an Irish bar and watch Leinster in the European Rugby finals. :D :D

Conor has been a Leinster fan since he was a wee boy and is delighted for their success in getting this far.

Indeed, when they got to the final, which is being played in Bilbao, he tried to get tickets for him and Don as a birthday treat for his dad. Getting a flight was no problem; getting a ticket was like trying to get gold dust. :?

I'm sure they'll have just a good time today watching it in Morrisey's.

Lucia is going to join us at the end of the game and the 4 of us are going out for dinner. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Looks nice and bright at the moment, but think rain's forecast for later. Hoping it holds off long enough to get a couple of walks in.

Have a good day :D

Morning Ally, morning Jen

Ally - we can only dream of temperatures near 30. Is that normal for this time of year or is it higher than usual? Re the rugby I sometimes think watching big games in smaller venues is so much nicer; and you get to see more because the cameras follow so closely. I'm sure the boys will have fab time wherever they are and good luck to Leinster. And enjoy the dinner

Jen, hope you do get a walk or two in before it starts raining.

Grey dull morning here; another load of washing is on so I'll get that onto the line (inside) before I head off to meet with friends in London. Relaxed evening at home afterwards.

Have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever it is you're all up to. Vibes for any poorlies that may need them, esp Weka, Saundra's DIL and little Kellie

Morning :)
Dull here too, but not raining.

Exciting day today, going to collect my new car :D
Replacement for my lovely Yeti, it's a motability car so gets renewed after three years.
They don't make yetis any more, so a change. This one is a Hyundai, no catchy name, it's an ix20 :)
It is red though :)

Hope you all have a good day

Morning all :)

Ally 30°C of lovely dry heat, what bliss :D 8-)

Di, you have to think of a name! Becky's little gold Yaris is Goldie, and D's Yaris is Belinda Blue-eyes! Our Audi doesn't have one, Rusty might suit it if he doesn't trade it in soon :P :(

Have a good time up in town with your friends Ria :) xx

Jen, I hope it stays dry for you :)

It's dry here, and bright :) The forecast is ok, not as good as last weekend though ;) We need to get to the garden centre or B&Q at some point - I need plants for my patio pots, the hanging baskets, and some potting compost. D asked e to pick up some Gro Bags as well, she already has some cucumber cuttings on her kitchen windowsill that need to go in the greenhouse :) We might go this afternoon, after Coretto's, but most likely tomorrow. I wonder if there is anything going on in the Quays this weekend, I think it might be the Dragon Boat races. They have loads of great stuff going on down there these days 8-) Oh, it's tomorrow :) http://www.wiltsglosstandard.co.uk/news ... er_alight/

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

Blowing a hooley here and although the sun is out, it's blinkin' cold :? :? And a cold night forecast, so I'll have to get some wood in, for a fire

Was supposed to be weeding the veg plot this morning, but that can wait until next week, when it's warmer. Grumpy might venture out and do some strimming.

Wasn't going to make yet another curry for tonight, but think I will

Have a good day everyone xx

30 c would be too hot for me these days I'm afraid. Enjoy the new car Di!
A quieter day today. Yesterday I ferried Crommers jnr around in the morning. He is a peripatetic music teacher and drives from school to school. His last school finished at 12.00 and the wedding started at 12.30. He didn't want to leave his car there overnight (they had an evening do at the venue) so I gave him a lift there.
Today MrsC is cooking her dad's dinner then we're off to get a old rugby photo copied. It is for the daughter of a lad I was at school with. He died in 2000 and her sister saw the photo on a village forum that I'm on. So it will be nice to bring someone a little bit of happiness through that.
Then it's steak, chips and wine tonight! That's a win, right there.

Have a good day all.

Afternoon all, it's a lovely sunny day here. Miss Osc called down earlier to wish us a happy anniversary and brought us some yummy biscuits to eat while watching the Eurovision tonight. She had Kellie with her, thought the fresh air and sunshine would do her good. Poor little thing has some awful spots on her face and over her body, she is being very good though and not scratching too much. We'll get out for a walk in a while. Rugby is on the agenda here too although it doesn't interest me, and the Eurovision later.
