Morning :)
Gosh that sounds lovely Ally :)

Yesterday turned out fine after the early rain, very warm with a hot wind!
Then last night after I'd gone to bed, a huge thunderstorm.
Today it's raining, but should clear up again.

We have a rather large single rib of beef for later (should be plenty of yummy leftovers), thanks to Bb spotting a half price bargain on the w/rose meat counter :)

Hope everyone enjoys the day

Morning you two

Ally, your day sounds absolutely perfect

Di, we had that same warm wind yesterday - perfect for getting the washing dried :D It was meant to thunder and rain overnight but it hasn't so still quite muggy. I'm sure it'll start pouring at some point though; the air is quite heavy

Your beef rib sounds yum; and as you say fab for left overs. I really fancy some cottage pie now :D

I'll be pootling in the garden / allotment / garden centre today and tomorrow - I'm so far behind so really do need to crack on with things.

Have a lovely day everyone; enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning everyone

Grey. Just grey.

Perfect weather for Grumpy to strim down the drive, as you'd be hard pressed to see if it, if you didn't know it was there  The wild flowers and weeds are taller than the car

Rib of beef - gert lush Di, enjoy x We have pork tenderloin :D :D

Once Grumpy has done the strimming, I'll bring up all the weeds and bung them on the bonfire, ready for tomorrow. We can't have a fire after 31 May, so need to get it burnt before then.

He will then carry on doing to dot to dot stuff for the floor in the new bedroom.

Have a lovey day, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. Rib of beef sounds wonderful.

It's a lovely morning here and promises to be very warm later on. We are at leisure today, so reading a book in the garden might feature.

Have a good day whatever you are doing.

Good morning all, it's warm, windy and sunny here although we can hear some rumblings of thunder in the distance.

Currently sitting outside with John, Billy and a cup of coffee. John hasn't gone cycling as he's the latest to come down with a cold. I've had a productive morning though; by 9am I'd walked Billy for 5 miles and planted out five trays of bedding plants in the back garden. Fancy going out somewhere but Birmingham's going to be busy as it's Pride and I thought of Lichfield but it's their carnival weekend and we did Stafford yesterday.

I just realised that I didn't check in yesterday. It was a busy day! John found a car for Joe so we had to go into Stafford and sort out transferring money from Joe's savings account into our account yesterday morning* in case it was okay and then they went to see it yesterday afternoon at a car sales in Coventry. John gave it as good a check over as he could, had a test drive and said it seems fine. It's a 10 year old Fiat Punto, one owner from new and it's done just 60000 miles. They're going back to pick it up on Wednesday night when Tom's back from Shannon's. It was a quick dinner after they got back and then we went to visit my parents, we got back just after 9pm and then walked Billy again.

*Had to go into Stafford to do that as I don't like using Nationwide in Cannock now as my cousin's wife has recently started working there and I feel a bit odd at letting her see our finances.

Have a good day all!

Good morning, it was quite nice when we got up, but we have had a short sharp torrential shower, and now the sun is shining again :? We are going out for brunch today to a posh hotel, a Christmas present from Miss Osc, we are taking the car so as not to risk walking to or from the train in possible rain. This is where we are going https://www.intercontinentaldublin.ie. We'll have to smarten up!
