Blasted hayfever

Next door has been strimming all afternoon - dozy sod is leaving it until the last minute - all land has to be cleaned by the end of this month.

I«'ve done nothing but sneeze all afternoon

Gone through 2 packets of tissues already

LOL Saundra; Tom Petty was born 1950; so only 10 years younger than Cliff Richard; but two very different styles of music . Tom Petty was part of the Traveling Wilburys and you would probably recognise some of their names: George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison?

Jo, I'd have my window open were I your neighbour

My parents loved their rock n roll Saundra. They saw both Bill Haley and Johnny Ray in Birmingham the 50s. There were others too, can't remember who now but they still have the concert programmes at home.

I like a bit of everything. Love my punk but then I'll stick on something like Neil Diamond afterwards.

Saundra my mum liked Elvis and Billy Fury, had lots of records.
Always music in our house, she loved all the musicals too.

Jo we both like a big range too, very eclectic, and still enjoy new music as well :)

My parents seemed to stop listening to music in the 60s. My sister used to listen to The Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel a lot when she was at home, but my cousins were my biggest influencers. Kerry and Tracy got me loving the Osmonds and the Bay City Rollers when I was little more than a toddler (I used to go to infant school with a tartan scarf tied around my wrist and a BCR tote bag :P ), Ann had varied tastes and bought something new every week and I spent a lot of time at her house in the 70s and music was always playing and Sean was a bondage trousered Mohican wearing punk :D
