It's lovely here, all sunny and very warm, with a light breeze, perfect 8-)

Morning all :D

Started off dull and overcast, but the sun's coming out so we could be in for another warm day.

Hope your back eases Di xx

E's popped into town for some bits to tide us over the weekend.

Managed to get over to the garden centre for lunch yesterday. It was nice to be out, but not so good for the ankle. Taking it relatively easy today, ended up using ice packs and the ankle is still quite sore so tackling uneven pavements won't help. Will potter round the house so I get plenty of movement, but will rest it as much as possible.

Have a good day :D

Change of plan.

Had a really bad itch and rash under the back plate, for Gladys. Red raw and very very sore.

Popped into see the nurse at the Centro de Saude, as they have an walk-in clinic every week-ends morning. See the doc, she said.

So had to go and wait some more and it's an allergy, Dr Paulo thinks, to the back plate.

Need to see the doc in the chemist - who wasn't there today  - and find a different one, that doesn't have this particular chemical in it.

I can use eczema cream or vitamin A cream for now, so I'm using Grumpy's cream ;)

I was wheezing a bit too - so he had a listen and I now have a new inhaler and anti-histamine tablets. The hayfever this year has been horrendous, but he thinks by the end of the month, all will be back to normal

We're going down the bar later, before the foorie, so I've cancelled today and will start again tomorrow.

And blowing a hooley here

Afternoon all, it's dull and very humid here.

Both lads are at work, they're actually working together today as the one Joe works at is being refurbished so he's been given some shifts at Tom's but until today they've not been there at the same time. John's outside cleaning Joe's car.

We had an expensive start to the day, Tom had a puncture and started pleading poverty. John took it to a tyre place when Tom went to work and it wasn't fixable so he's had to have a new tyre, it was one of the two which we'd only bought him a couple of months ago as well

Have a good day all!

Ouch Jo

I had a brain wave. I'll ring the company I get the bags from on Monday and ask them. They know my order and I should, hopefully, get something compatible with the 150 bags I've got stashed here ;)

Hi all. Been to work this morning but no clinic so dead quiet.

This afternoon sat in garden, very warm but cloudy. It's raining now, not hard, just heavy drizzle but apparently further out it's hammering down! I've just been doing some housework and have managed to bang my elbow hard while hoovering and it's come up in a bubble the size of a golf ball!! I'm currently sat with it in a bowl of cold water hoping it will go down - how ridiculous!!  Tom's just gone to Newcastle track, and I was looking forward to a quiet evening.....sigh.

Thanks Kaz, me too, it's stupid really, I was just pulling the hoover back to push it forward again and bang, right against the corner of the wall  Course I rubbed it and then thought no more of it, until I spotted this weird shape in the mirror - yikes!! It's still up like a puddin' atm....
