I've been wondering how much longer my kindle fire will last, must have had it more than four years.
That's quite impressive I think.

Jo what is prime now, and how much?
I know I could look it up but you'll explain in English ;)

Di, it's not widely available at the moment and I'd never taken much notice of it before but it said on the page that the Kindle was eligible for it. From what I could see delivery is free on orders over £40 and £3.99 if below that, but there's a £15 minimum spend. It's for Prime customers.

When I was placing the order it gave me a choice of 2 hour time slots throughout this afternoon.

Saundra, I've never tried one of the Kindle tablets, this is just the Paperwhite. I like those because they have the built in back light so I can read in the dark.

Thanks Jo, I had gone on amazon and searched prime now but it showed nothing. We have prime, maybe our area is not eligible.
I'll keep an eye out.

Me too, I use my kindle tablet most of the time, I only really use my phone when I'm out. My poor laptop only gets fired up now and again

I use my kindle tablet a lot too.
The pc gets used for banking, word, anything that needs printing, things like that.

Joe's gone to view a flat with his friend. Not for himself but his friend Jamie is classed as homeless. He lived with his mother but she moved out to live with her boyfriend so had to give up the council house they lived in but didn't move Jamie with her. He's been sleeping on various sofas since then.

I just think it's so sad, an 18 year old lad with no family home and I know that at 18 he's an adult (although only very recently) but how can a parent leave their child with nowhere to live?
