Good morning, cloudier and a bit cooler here, but still very nice. I had to go to Miss Osc's house for 9am this morning to await the Sky engineer, so I brought my breakfast with me and sat in the sun. He turned up, I knew him anyway as he has done all our Sky work in this house. I was home just after 10am and have plenty to keep me occupied. Two beds to get ready for Michael and Kellie who are staying with us tonight. I have the unpacking all done and the cases are ready to go back in the attic. There is ironing awaiting  but the drying was so good yesterday that I was able to fold a lot of stuff and put it away. Better get on with it!

Good day peeps. :D :D

So far I am loving these holidays! :D :D

I'm packing so much into each day...I need to slow down.

Been out walking first thing and had a swim.

I then walked into town to the post office and bank.

Back home..bit of lunch then going out about 5 for a wander into town for a couple of beers.

I've to decide where to eat tonight and I'm choosing Thai. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

We're back :)
Stopped in Lyndhurst and found a coffee shop with a back garden, it was lovely sitting there in the shade, couldn't hear any traffic at all.
I had a fruit scone, very fresh, with lots of real butter :)

Update on health board ;)

Good afternoon. Totally scorchio here, it feels as hot as yesterday. We were up early to run FiL to the hospital for his eye appointment. After that I took the car to be valeted; MrsC says it was like driving around in a four wheeled dustbin and she had a point, so it was time for it to be done. Since then I've just been lazing. I should really do a bit in the garden but maybe this evening when its a bit cooler.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

Absolutely blazing hot here, 30° plus! I decided to brave town, to go to Boots for a beconaze for my poor nose. I got the bus there, as there is a long main road with very little shade :? I walked up to D's afterwards, then home, so have still managed to get my 10k steps/5 miles in   It's too hot for the dogs out there, so we aren't walking them until bedtime.

Kaz, I've already decided to get the bus when I go into town tomorrow, each way there's a long steady hill to walk up with no shade.

Hope you get on okay with the Beconase, I think they say it takes two or three days to take effect when you first start using it but honestly, I've had no problems and hardly sneezed at all throughout these days with a very high pollen count.

We're waiting until late to walk Billy too, but I've just watched Trudy over the road go out with her two dogs

Why are people so stupid Jo? I've already seen something on Facebook about dogs dying in this heat, after being walked :(

I hope the spray does the trick, I had a miserable night last night :(

It's so cruel isn't it. I wondered how she'd like being made to go out in a fur coat and no shoes in this heat. I couldn't even see that she'd got any water with her :(

Hope it does the trick for you xx
