Morning all :D

Our sun's gone into hiding and the temperature's definitely dropped a few degrees, it's also rather windy  Hoping it brightens as the day goes on.

Good luck at the hospital Di, hope the new system isn't too disruptive xxx

No problem with our signal here in Ramsgate Saundra, but just 10mins away in Broadstairs it's a nightmare. Can't get a mobile phone signal there anywhere near the seafront.

Be careful with the wasps nest Ria, they are nasty buggers. We had one in the ground towards the back of the garden year before last, made it really difficult to do any weeding in that area. So far so good, they don't seem to have come back...….yet!!! Hope the trains behave this evening.

Had a good trip out yesterday, managed to get around the shops without using a crutch and didn't feel too sore, a great improvement. It helps it's nice and flat at Westwood Cross, still got to try walking round town, much more of a challenge, plan to tackle that later this week.

Have a good day :D

Afternoon all, it's a gorgeous day here. With Michael and Kellie here, it was a 7am start, although we all slept well. When we were walking them to school at 8.40am the temperature was 17 degrees  We had a bit of a walk on the way back, including inspecting the skip outside our old house which has changed hands recently. They have taken up all the carpets and ripped out the kitchen including taking up the floor tiles. Last week, they put out the dining room chairs, all almost antique, plus two rockers. The rockers were manky (the house was rented after we sold it) but the dining chairs didn't last too long in the skip before disappearing!

I went to the gym and then to the cafe afterwards for a holiday catch up. I've had lunch, taken in washing and put more out, and in a little while I'll go to the post office and then walk up to Miss Osc's with the children's bag from last night. Mr Osc is waiting to see if this afternoon's football is any good before deciding whether or not to come with me. He got some kind of cold while we were away and is very tired......but he is a man, I get a cross response if I suggest going to the doctor  Mind you, he did manage to play golf yesterday :?

So …

Went into town to buy a new stand for the water butt, the old one having cracked.

Came back with 2 packs of 4 Magnum ice cream bars, a Senior Railcard renewal form, an optical mouse and a haircut.

Ah well, there's always tomorrow …. :D

Di, I hope all went ok. Really annoying for you

Ria, you might be better off getting a professional to get rid of them for you - wasps nests can be dangerous :? Be careful xxx

Osc, I saw that post you put on FB about your old house :) Goodness, fancy putting good stuff like that in a skip!

Saundra, I hope your weather improves! It's a bit too hot here, although if it wasn't for the hayfever I'd be enjoying it ;) The spray has helped a bit, but it takes time to kick in properly.

Jo, Harry has finished now and is coming to stay next week :D

How is your little granddaughter faring in this heat Crommers? Not keeping everyone awake I hope xxxxx

Ossie

She's not entirely in favour Kaz, but she is starting to sleep longer at night, so it's swings and roundabouts. :D

Good evening everybody.
Shopping and to the post ofice this morning. Then went and bought some more plants at a local nursery.
After lunch and a doze have been in the garden. When the plants mature it should be very colourful. Have already got lupins in flower and more buds on our rose-- Silver Wedding-bough as a present in 2001.
Up early tomorow as I am going to have a blood sample taken. I want to be first in the queue. The health centre only opens at 7.15 a.m but there is always a queue outside.
