Being ladies wot shop this morning then spending the afternoon reading in the garden.

Jackie and I have a table booked for 8pm at Marco Pierre White's. It's my birthday treat for her and she's so looking forward to it. And so am I.

We're having a cocktail first to get the evening off to a good start.

Gorgeous again - I do believe the weekend was the hottest we've had it. Glad I don't have to do much, I was commuting to work in London in 1976

Jackie has a beautiful big garden that gets the sun all day. We got home yesterday after lunch (which was fantastic and when we came to pay the bill which should have been around £60 we were informed it had been paid by one of the managers who just happens to be Jackie's daughter Amy's boyfriend Dan! Result!) and stayed reading in her garden long after sunset. Till just after 9 in fact. Bliss.

Craig treated me to a visit to the MPW restaurant in Nottingham a few years ago and it's still one of the nicest meals I've had.

Dan's been staying at Jackie's since the beginning of June - he gave up the lease on his flat as him and Amy are off to Australia on the 21st for a year. Dubai for a week first then Oz.

WW this morning, then the usual lunch/shopping with the girls Harry has finally finished, and passed, his college year! He's coming to stay in a couple of weeks time

Been chatting to Don via WhatsApp - the men have finished all the painting and are now starting on removing the tiles from around the pool to lay new ones. We're also having a new area round the shower and new floor tiles in the pool room.

There is a skip by the back gate, a power boring device digging up the old tiles and a lot of noise.

Don's now twigged why I booked these dates away.

I had a wonderful weekend - it just went by far to fast. Busy day for myself on Saturday at the allotment and garden then BBQ at Karl and Nadine and yesterday the Hampton Court Flower Show. Bought myself the most amazing scented white rose - just gorgeous

usual / usual for me today and then two days off work - yay!!!!
