Dinner tonight

Postby JanB » 16 Jul 2018, 18:49

Pork and clams :D :D

Marinated pork loin chunks, with tomato puree, bay leaves, pimento doce, garlic , white wine and onion. Marinate for at least 24 hours - I did 48 ;)

Pan fry in lard - porco preto - reduce the sauce, chuck in the clams.

Muito bom.

This from some-one who does not eat fish, of any sort

I've had pork and clams, years ago. It's a traditional Portuguese dish, I enjoyed it.

We had courgette fritters (with garlic, chilli, ginger, spring onions), chilli dipping sauce.

It was almost right - will have to ask Odette, as we were talking about the recipe earlier.

Courgette fritters sound yummy Di :D

I'm allergic to both pork and clams   :P

We had some veggie things, like fish cakes but with cheese and chives in  I found them in the freezer and thought I'd use them up  They weren't bad, with a nice green salad

Still can't be bothered to cook, too hot. We're having salad with tuna mayo and hard boiled eggs. Will finish off with some cherries we picked up in M&S, yummy.
