Finished The Wildflowers. Took a little while to get into, but then I was hooked.

I've just finished reading "The President is Missing", a collaboration by Bill Clinton (yes, THAT Bill Clinton :mrgreen:

) and James Patterson. It's currently the No.1 hardback bestseller.

It's very interesting. It's a techno-thriller, Doomsday computer internet virus type of thing, but I must say, it's a very good example of its genre, and quite a page-turner. OK, it was bit preachy in places and Bill Clinton's obviously used it to espouse some of his own political views, leaving one to assume that the prolific James Patterson has primarily written the "action" side of it.

The BBC critic Will Gompertz rubbished it, and the Sunday Times review was a bit lukewarm, but in fact it's the faster adult fiction seller since "Go Set A Watchman" was published. It's also going to be adapted as a TV mini-series.

I'm not a great James Patterson fan; I've found him a bit hit and miss as an author, and his writing a bit simplistic, but actually this book was well worth the money.

Have read The Cows by Dawn O'Porter over the last couple of days.
I'm definitely not easily shocked, but it was quite shocking...but I couldn't stop reading!

I'm reading Tangerine by Christine Mangan, and finding it really hard to get into. Think I mght put it aside and pop to the library tomorrow.

I have just read This is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay. It’s his account of being a junior doctor. It made me laugh out loud at times but was also shocking.

I also had a set of Jane Green books for my birthday. Anyone read any?
