My good deed of the week involves bacon and mushrooms in a flan and also cauliflower cheese soup.

I'll make both tomorrow and freeze them.

Mitchell can take some home on Sunday, as he's coming over for a bbq, with Antonia, who also wants to try the soup :D

Mitch lives on his own and is a very very basic cook, so when I'm doing something that I know he'll eat, I'll make more.

Dunno about the clams …. :?

We had a beef hache each (sort of a minced beef burger from Waitrose) with a side salad, pan-fried tomatoes and hot horseradish sauce in crème freche. I don't normally go much on salad  but in this weather …...

Multi-grain crackers with onion and chive cream cheese, plus carrot and celery sticks to dip into some rather delicious onion chutney.

I cooked :)
Mostly, I or Bb produce meals. This weather, there's been a lot of (bought) quiche, with coleslaw and salad, things like that.
I did make last night's courgette fritters, but a whole meal has been beyond me.
Bb got bargain chicken breasts in pesto marinade, but instead of shoving them in the oven, per instructions, I did them in a frying pan. Then added courgette and asparagus, dry vermouth, a big squeeze of lemon and loads of shredded basil.
Served with buttered new potatoes, and absolutely yummy :)
