We're getting our money's worth today

I bought a day ticket, £4.20, to go to Stafford. When I got home Tom used it on two buses to go and get his car back from the garage. He's now back and Joe's claimed it to go to Stafford as he's going to see his friend

Good on you. I have an annual ticket for my journey to London but you're not allowed to give it to anyone else to use; why not is beyond me - after all it's a valid ticket for the day regardless of who is using it.

Jo, B and I have done that many a time, although not since she started at the vets as she has a weekly ticket on a phone app now.

Ria, you would think so

That's ridiculous Ria.

Kaz, I checked on the bus this morning - no contactless.

Anyway, I'm so so so glad he had the presence of mind to go to Stafford.

Do you remember me recently mentioning his friend on here who was in need of a place to live? Joe and another friend had been trying to contact him this morning, he's now living in a B&B in Stafford, and he wasn't answering his phone or texts and they were getting concerned as he's suffering with depression.

They went over to check on him and he'd taken an overdose of antidepressants and sleeping pills, Joe thinks he took perhaps 40 tablets :( They called an ambulance and they're now at A&E with him.

I feel so desperately sad for the lad, he's a lovely kid.

How awful Jo.

Such a shame for the young lad. I really hope he gets some help now.
