Good afternoon all, it's uncomfortably hot here today - even at 6.30am in the woods it was horrible.

I've spent the morning getting jobs done, the plan was to get everything done before it got too hot...but it was already too hot :? I'm now waiting for an Amazon delivery, I don't mind so much when things are delivered by the Birmingham depot as they have tracking now so you get a rough idea of when to expect your order but it's coming from Stoke which doesn't have tracking so it's a matter of just waiting. I've made Tom a pumpkin pie while I've been waiting though, I've been promising him one for a while.

When I came back with Billy at 8.30 I could hear Becky (in the house on the other side of our drive) shouting at the kids. I texted John as it's a bit of a running joke with us, she's a secondary school maths teacher and scares John because she often seems to be in teacher mode, and he replied saying that she was shouting at them when he left for work at 7.30. She subsequently woke Joe at 10 :o

Kaz, have a wonderful time with Harry! :Hi:

Have a good day all

Good afternoon all.

It's uncomfortably hot here today. I wish we could have a spell of normal weather.

Our air conditioner is now on almost continually. I don't know how we would cope without it, particularly as excessive heat makes my arthritis worse. .

Hope you all have a pleasant day.

Good afternoon all, it started off dull, drizzley and muggy here - I had left washing out overnight but luckily got it in before it got wet. The gym was hard, we were all sooooooo hot. Washed my hair when I got back, just relaxing now before I do a few bits. We have friends coming tomorrow, they are coming into Dublin on the Queen Elizabeth, we will collect them and bring them here for lunch. We asked if they wanted to do tourist things, but they said no. They are an English couple from Bury who we got to know through dancing, they are on a cruise around Britain and Ireland. The ship is due in early, so we will be up and out by 9am.

Afternoon all...

Sunny here, but the office has air con so I'm not sure what it's like outside. Some colleagues are loving it when they pop out to get their lunch and others aren't liking it at all

Di, hope all went well with the blood test and you didn't have to wait too long once you went back x
Kaz have the best time with Harry. And try ignore the poor spiders; they'll eat all the mosquitoes and flies that are around - they do more good than harm :D
Jen, don't laugh - but I know of a few people who have shingles at the moment; any chance you could have that as well?

Well usual / usual for me; so nothing exciting to report

have a lovely rest of day everyone x

Ria, you know that blast of hot air you get when you open the oven door? It's like that.
