I broke my egg slicer! :o

Cast aluminium egg slicer, slices egg effortlessly and with precision. £23.

What? For £23 it should lay the egg, cook and shell it, slice it, cut and butter the bread and make the sandwich!

Wilco: £1, plastic, does the job. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Next door - the odd lot - have lost a pillow case. It went flying off their washing line

It's in our field, has been all afternoon.

I'm going to wait until tomorrow to return it.

Oh silly me.

I DO have a laundry basket, but it only gets underwear from when I have a shower. Most of my stuff is blue, green or black and that tends to go straight in the machine until there is enough for a wash load.

Not long ago I emptied my hospital bag from yesterday to make a load. I put the liquid and conditioner in the drawer then went to have a quick check of the basket. All done - GO!

I now have bang, bang-BANG! going on!!!

The worktop was full when I went to the basket so I rested the conditioner on the rim of the drum. I only shut it in when I came back and it is now being washed.

I am going to have to wait for the first drain sequence before I can turn the machine off and open the door.

PILL-ock.

Thank goodness for that!

I heard the drain sequence so stood by the washer and waited for the pause then turned the power off to recover the bottle.

The washing is now, quietly, back on and the conditioner bottle is beautifully clean. :D

We were talking about places we'd like to go to last night...30 minutes later I'd booked 5 days in Prague for next March :Hi:
So cheap too, £520 for both of us in a 4* hotel with breakfast, flights, 22kg checked in luggage each and seat reservations.

Conor and Lucia flew to Prague this morning Jo for 5 days!

They've taken a leaf out of my book and have gone with only hand luggage.

Let me know what they think!

We'll do hand luggage only too, we managed easily in New York. I've got my trusty little pink suitcase  i always think that if you need anything there are always shops nearby. It just surprised me that while so many airlines are now charging to check in bags this was included in the price. Even Virgin flying transatlantic charge to check in a bag now.
