Morning all

Bright and sunny, bit cooler though.

It rained heavily from about 1.30pm yesterday, just as well we didn't go into town, we'd have got soaked.

Hope the furniture turns up today Jan.

Only had 4hrs last night, horrid not sleeping properly.

Off into town after brekkie, need to pick up E's prescription and a few other bits.

Hi all - was my Saturday working week today - M (boss) posted a notice on our staff FB page last night to say the mystery of the missing specs had been resolved (I posted about this on Mon/Tues this week) - turns out the patient hadn't even left her specs for us to reglaze - but SOMEone hadn't thought to note this down, had taken payment in full and printed off the orders!!! Beggars belief! M was telling me this morning that he's going to have a re-training session with this person as she is experienced and should know better - the rings she has made most of us jump through this week and she hasn't even been in - went home sick two days!

So we've had a lovely bright, and warm day. When I got home (to a plate of bacon and egg sandwiches and a coffee) we got changed and went for a walk - round the riverbank again and up to the Cathedral. It's fast becoming a favourite with us. We were going to stop off on the way back to the car for a glass of wine at a riverside pub, but FAR too busy and rowdy, so we had one, plus a chocolate brownie, at a pub just outside the city. Was lovely. Clouding over now and I suspect tomorrow will be a wet one.

Chinese takeout later and we'll look for something to watch - Sat night tv is crap!!
